   Love Freya and have been several time with friends. First time doing grand tasting menu with pairings and was overall pretty disappointed. Servers were not at all familiar with wine pairings/explanations which is expected at this price point. Courses were extremely slow to come out with wine poured way too early. Server actually forgot a course and my wife had to remind him to bring it. Advertised as 9- courses, however they counted a sorbet course and take home macarons. Of the 7 real courses - only 2 protein. Fish course cold. We left hungry. Felt a little scammed. Unsure if we will return.

   Stunningly gorgeous food with breathtaking and creative flavor combinations. Pure food artistry. The service was impeccable. All around glorious experience.

   While the food is tremendous…my wife and I are truly in love with the service. The service is quietly excellent. Little things…things you don’t expect…but things you start to notice. The staff is phenomenal from the hostess greeting to floor staff. If you want to feel like you are the most important patron at restaurant…go to Freya!

   Awesome experience! We had the 9 course Chef's Tasting and purchased the wine flight with dinner. The food was amazing and the pairings were on point - best I've had.

   Too expensive for the overall quality of the food. The environment is too noisy as well.

   Can’t say enough good things! This was not our first time visiting but it was our first time in a couple of years. The service continues to be impeccable and is only matched by the quality of the food. The presentation was stunning and everything tasted great. I selected items from the menu I wouldn’t normally order or eat because I know it will taste good and it gives me an opportunity to try something new. Everyone from the first person you see when you walk in, to the team of people taking care of you throughout the meal know how to make the meal enjoyable and know how to go the extra mile. 10/10 will be back much sooner this time.

   We loved every minute at Freya, every course surprised us and excited us with new combinations of flavors and textures. My favorite was indeed the lamb !

   The food is memorable, the service is outstanding, and the environment is enjoyable--one of the best places in Michigan. Everything is inviting and clean. This is the place if you love food and like watching professionals at the top of their craft.

   Freya is a serious dining experience. I expect that most people order the five course tasting menu (which additionally includes excellent bread, flavored butter, and a complex salad of local produce) although a nine course tasting menu and some ala carte ordering is also available. The sommelier is quite helpful and the entire staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home... except for the high level of the cuisine. The atmosphere is informal which is a deliberate attempt by the chef to be able to provide a high level dining experience at a more reasonable cost. The menu changes frequently, which attests to the skill of the chef. If you appreciate truly well prepared and interesting food, you will like Freya. If you are looking for a piece of steak or slab of salmon accompanied by a few stalks of asparagus, this is not the place for you.

    Hospitality like no other in Michigan. Food is always excellent, creative, and thoughtful. Easily one of the best tasting menus in the country.
