Freya is a multi-course dinner restaurant focused on executing the points of service at upper echelon restaurants in larger markets while ditching the pomp and circumstance traditions that make regular people feel out of place. The last several years have been extremely challenging for most people. We feel strongly that great food, great drinks, and great hospitality are things everyone deserves. Especially you.

We offer a multi course menu and can accommodate the following diets: Omnivore (no dietary restrictions), Pescatarian (vegetarian + seafood), or vegan (no animal products used). With notice, we’re also able to modify many items to be gluten-free. We respectfully ask that further modification requests only be made in cases of serious allergies; we may not be able to accommodate certain dietary restrictions

We offer a 5 course menu for $95 per person and can accommodate the following diets: Omnivore (no dietary restrictions), Pescatarian (vegetarian + seafood), or vegan (no animal products used). With notice, we’re also able to modify many items to be gluten-free. We respectfully ask that further modification requests only be made in cases of serious allergies; we may not be able to accommodate certain dietary restrictions. Ala carte dining is available by request Tuesday through Thursday only.

  • Freya Grand Tasting

    Multiple dates available
    A $155 per person omnivore-only set 9 course dining experience w/quality ingredients grown in and around Detroit. The grand tasting CANNOT be modified to accommodate ANY allergies or restrictions. A typical grand tasting lasts about 3 hrs, depending on party size. Late cancellations/no-shows are devastating; guests must provide at least 48 hrs notice in the case of a cancellation/rescheduling. If a reservation is cancelled under 48 hrs from reservation time, regardleess of the reason for cancelling. The Freya Grand Tasting is currently priced at $155 per person. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your meal may be shortened/canceled. Please don't reserve until you're sure you can come!

We'll have a selection of xmas-themed cocktails complete with kitchy glassware, holiday decor, a special holiday-focused food menu, and fa la la la lots of tidings and cheer! We respectfully request that in cases when we have reservations booked for the table you're occupying later in the evening, groups limit their dining time- 1.5 hours for groups of two, 2 hours for groups of three or four, and 2.5 hours for larger groups.

    When I initially saw the menu, I was a little disappointed that there was only one vegan option for each course, but every dish was phenomenal! I loved every moment of my visit. I felt appreciated when the staff pushed in my chair when I was seated and I felt exceptionally special when every staff member I encountered wished me a Happy Birthday. From the explanations of the dish’s and to the artwork on the walls, this place is worth the experience and I look forward to visiting again.

    The service was outstanding and the wait staff was friendly. We loved the bread and salad, however, the rest of the food we ordered left much to be desired. None of the main courses sounded interesting so we had the brain salad and three appetizers. We didn’t really care for any of the appetizers. The cinnamon bread is the best cinnamon bread we’ve ever eaten the whitefish pate and the potato latkes were way too salty and we like salty food.

    Brought my sister-in-law there for her birthday. A lot of the staff made a point to come wish her happy birthday and even gave her a signed card. Food and service were excellent.

    I cannot say enough good things about this dining experience. I have been a few times and every single time has been just truly incredible. From the second you walk in to the second you leave the door, every moment is perfect. The attention to detail is truly amazing. Every morsel of food I have had from this restaurant has been absolutely delectable. As someone who eats primarily vegan it is such a delight to have truly gourmet food with very interesting tastes and textures that is vegan. When you leave your seat, your napkin is picked up and folded next to your plate when you return. When you return to your seat, your seat is often pulled out for you. Every single person is so kind and welcoming and helpful. Just to reiterate, the food is absolutely some of the best I have ever had.
