Freya is a multi-course dinner restaurant focused on executing the points of service at upper echelon restaurants in larger markets while ditching the pomp and circumstance traditions that make regular people feel out of place. The last several years have been extremely challenging for most people. We feel strongly that great food, great drinks, and great hospitality are things everyone deserves. Especially you.

We offer a multi course menu and can accommodate the following diets: Omnivore (no dietary restrictions), Pescatarian (vegetarian + seafood), or vegan (no animal products used). With notice, we’re also able to modify many items to be gluten-free. We respectfully ask that further modification requests only be made in cases of serious allergies; we may not be able to accommodate certain dietary restrictions

We offer a 5 course menu that can accommodate the following diets: Omnivore (no dietary restrictions), Pescatarian (vegetarian + seafood), or vegan (no animal products used). Ala carte dining is available by request Tuesday - Thursday only.
Freya Grand Tasting
Multiple dates available
A $155 per person omnivore-only set 9 course dining experience w/quality ingredients grown in and around Detroit. The grand tasting CANNOT be modified to accommodate ANY allergies or restrictions. A typical grand tasting lasts about 3 hrs, depending on party size. Late cancellations/no-shows are devastating; guests must provide at least 48 hrs notice in the case of a cancellation/rescheduling. If a reservation is cancelled under 48 hrs from reservation time, regardleess of the reason for cancelling. The Freya Grand Tasting is currently priced at $155 per person. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your meal may be shortened/canceled. Please don't reserve until you're sure you can come!

Our food was phenomenal. We appreciated the unique ingredient pairings and some fresh items on the menu we don’t see elsewhere. We did a 5 course meal and each of us got to choose a different dish (normally, guests have to choose the same item). It gave us the opportunity to explore the menu and have a more adventurous experience. Staff was polite and informative however they seemed somewhat new - with time, they’ll build confidence to always deliver a smooth experience. The dessert has room for improvement. The cocoa sorbet was hard as a rock that I couldn’t enjoy it. If they eliminated the sorbet and just focused on the almond crunch and light meringue… it would have been absolutely perfect. We recommend the jerk sweet potato, tartare and sea bass.

Came here for our anniversary. I couldn't say enough good things. There is nothing I would change. The staff was incredible. The space was so inviting and cozy even though it was large. We did the nine course tasty menu. I felt so bad that some of the courses I could not finish because I wanted to save room...I was looking forward to what was coming next. ♡ every course was so thought out .. the creativity and thought that went into every dish was truly an amazing experience. It's so hard to find a restaurant that gives the whole experience.. this was , we are already looking forward to coming back.

Well….. Maybe we just aren't fine diners…. Or this experience compared to other tasting menus we've been to was just a little different.… Overall everything we received tasted very good… yummy! just took forever…. We were hungry… for the price… small portion sizes and too attentive… less on the “experience” and more on the food. Again…. It might be us but for what we paid for the 4 of us and what we experienced…. Little off.

Amazing tasting menu. Attention to taste, aesthetics and detail by the chefs is awe inspiring. Service was extremely personable and highly coordinated. Wine selections were especially unique and delivered on taste and harmony. So proud to have this gem here in Detroit.
