   Our dinner reservation was for 7:45pm. We waited until well after 9pm before getting out food. The food was very good, but the wait was long with no apologies or explanation from our server.

   Well anytime we go to Frankie Rowlands we expect to pay top dollar and usually the service, food, and ambience combined make it a great experience and this time was no exception. My wife had the 7oz filet which was cooked to perfection, while I had the Chilean Sea Bass for the first time and it was just outstanding. We also had the crab dip appetizer which without a doubt is the best in Virginia. Place was buzzing being close to the Holidays but the entire staff was at the top of their game. Great experience!!!!

   Hannah waited on our table. She did an outstanding job. Attentive to all the details. Knew the menu well!!! The only issue was that I made a reservation for 4 and they had the reservation for two. I did not have my phone to check the reservation. Once I was home I found the reservation on this app and I did indeed make a reservation for 4. However, the staff worked out their mistake and got a table for 4 at 7pm rather than 6:15 pm we had requested. After this little bump in the ‘road’ we had a wonderful experience at Frankie Rowlands! Food was incredible!

   Ambiance is very good, quiet and soothing. Wait staff is very attentive and friendly. Both my wife and i ordered the smallest filet mignon with bordelaise sauce. The steaks were cooked as ordered but there was very little crust. We had the Brussel sprouts and baked potato. Both sides seemed old and just warmed up. Cocktail and wine were good. I expect a little better for $200.

   This is the third or fourth year that we have enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at Frankie Rowland’s Salem. The restaurant offers a special Thanksgiving menu and the regular menu. We order from the Thanksgiving menu and the food is exceptional! The turkey and dressing is delicious and my husband especially likes the cranberry relish and bourbon pecan pie with ice cream! Of course, remember to try a pineapple martini - it’s a nice treat!😊

    Another great business dinner at Frankie Rowland!! The staff were all great, especially Maggie and Charlie! The food is always great, one of my favorite restaurants of all time!!
