    Haven’t been back to Frances in couple of years so I expected some changes and while the food tasted as good as I recall, everything that came out of the kitchen was barely warm. It was a bit disconcerting to be honest. Two minutes after being set down our short rib entree was cold.

    Great meal at Frances. Had 15th anniversary tasting menu, which was terrific. Awesome food, great wine list, cozy atmosphere. Sometimes a forgotten restaurant in a crowded SF scene but this place is outstanding

    The space is small, kinda feel cramped at times specially when it’s packed. Out table request was accommodated ahead of time which was great. We had the prix fixe meal with wine pairing. The food was interesting. Thankful that the chef agreed with swapping the main dish. The cost was a little expensive but we were full by the end of the night. The servers were excellent and attentive.
