   Eclectic menu sounded interesting but wasn’t very good. Too much breading and not the best cuts. Hardly any duck in the duck tamale, quail on a stick was stringy. Venison was undercooked. Cornbread was fabulous! Service was great…a little slow. Dining room was a thoroughfare for people entering the hotel from the street.

   Three adults and one 2 1/2 year old for supper, waiter was attentive and helpful. Thought the food was better than last visit here. Wife and I have been eating at this location since Las Canarias.

   We had Christmas dinner here, three of us shared the tomohawk steak, which was sublime with the Californian Cabernet Sauvignon. Service was attentive and ambience very pleasant. A wonderful way to spend Christmas Day evening, but it comes with a price tag.

   Service was great, restaurant decor was very cute. The food was expensive for what it was. No one was obsessed with the food and we spent over $150 for 4 people.

   First time here. Service was very slow, and pricing was a little over the top. However, most of the food we had was good, drinks too.

   We were seated outside which was great. However either they didn't tell our server or he was new and didn't know he had a table outside. 13 minutes later I went inside to the bar and got my own drinks. It was Christmas eve and I was in no mood to start an argument with anyone. However that's where the issues started. Some other guy took our order seeing us with menus the second time he walked over. Still no server until after person 2 took our order. Then my wife ordered the Shrimp and Grits. Now I've had Shrimp and Grits hundreds of times. It's hard to mess that up. However, there was some kind of hard burnt thing under her Shrimp that tasted nasty. We brought it up and they remade it. Again hard almost like a chicken fried steak under the huge Shrimp. Again NASTY taste. We sent it back and told the manager that whomever approved that thing to be the "Grits" under Shrimp and called it Shrimp and Grits needs to be told the truth by people who eat it. They remade it with Risotto which was ok. I've worked in a high end French restaurant and each dish on the menu had to be sampled and if 2 or more of us didn't like it. It was remade a different way or not put on the menu. Just say no to the hard fried Grits please. My Wellington However was great. No complaints. We've eaten here at least 10 times and this was our worst experience. Every other time the staff was very attentive so I'm just guessing the A team had Christmas Eve off. But the chef who came up with that Grit disaster was working I was told. I hope he is told the truth. That dish was just gross.

   We had a delightful evening at Four Brothers Southern Provisions. We sat outside in order to enjoy the Christmas lights on the river. Everything was delicious except for the Caesar Salad which we wished had more dressing. Great choices of wine and cocktails, which we enjoyed. The desserts were decadent and finished the meal perfectly. We will definitely return.

    A little disappointed - service was too slow for the less than crowded restaurant. The filet was cooked to perfection and the scallops were good - but the accompanying sides left something to be desired. After tasting my corn risotto my mom’s comment was “this rice isn’t cooked enough” and I had to agree - it wasn’t cooked properly and lacked flavor. The hipster fries were so thin they we just fried shells. The flavor of the pasta was good but the noodles themselves weren’t cooked properly either and were unbalanced. That being said - the pear salad was fabulous and the corn bread was the best we ever had. It would have been great if our entire dishes were as polished as the appetizers. Unfortunately we probably won’t be back at those prices.
