Foreign Cinema is a one of a kind, nationally acclaimed restaurant combining independent films with California-Mediterranean cooking. Enjoy an airy yet chic setting, complete with indoor dining room with a fireplace, outdoor courtyard with 35mm film screening starting at dusk, mezzanine, gallery curated by Modernism West & full bar in the main dining room. Foreign Cinema has something for everyone including their DJ/live music bar, Laszlo. Enjoy special happy hours, uniquely craft cocktails, zero proof selections, full Foreign Cinema dinner menu, and lively music to end your evening.

We are currently booking for Outdoor Patio & Indoor/Standard seating 60 days in advance. A ‘standard seating’ reservation is indoor dining. Reservations for 10+ may be booked through private dining department - contact janine@foreigncinema.com for more information.

    For New Year's Eve we are offering a celebratory 4 course menu for $165 per adult & children for $45 each (price does not include drinks, tax, or gratuity). There will be choices in each course, including vegetarian options. This is the only menu available, there will not be an a la carte option. We have a 48hr cancellation policy for New Years Eve Dinner, it is $50 per person if cancelled after 5pm on Sunday 12/29.

    We LOVED this restaurant. We sat inside so we couldn’t see the movie, but that wasn’t really an issue. The restaurant itself was stunning. Our server David was absolutely lovely. He really made our experience. The food was great, we got the smoked salmon, burrata with pears, sesame chicken, and pork chop. Everything was delicious. For dessert we got crème brûlée and a sort of chocolate mousse. Fantastic. It’s an expensive date but you pay for the food and the experience. Would go again!

    Server was terrific. Food was mixed. Chicharrones were great as was the paté and fried chicken. Pork chop and lamb chops were overcooked but flavorful. Overall an enjoyable night made so by an attentive and friendly server.

    A culinary treat! Every dish was fusing with flavor and excitement! Such a fun atmosphere with a fun movie playing on the large wall! Why doesn't this restaurant have a Michelin Star?

    Small portions. Tasty food. Expensive dinner. Even with dessert, my dinner guest went home and had a snack. I, too, found myself snacking after having had their $38 pork chop which was not as good this time as a couple of weeks before. I will return, nonetheless.

    Excellent service! Leo and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. Food was great as usual. I have been going here for 20 years and ate at Boulevard and Waterbar this past week and Foreign Cinema was my favorite!

    We loved that there were three different dining areas, all with a different feel. The pop tarts, cinnamon rolls and baked goat cheese are amazing! Get the burger with whipped cheddar if you can and order several desserts to try - they’re too good to pass up! Service is excellent - staff is very attentive and super nice.
