   We were there as a part of 6 to celebrate a family birthday and had a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding and the service was great too. The beef tartare, parsnip veloute and smoked salmon were all amazing as starters, as were the sirloin and pork for main course. Everyone was impressed with their meals - thank you for making the occasion special.

   Food was excellent. Small menu but well thought out.. I could have chosen any of the dishes. The staff were also very good, helpful and friendly/polite… just not enough of them. The place is lovely with fab background music providing a great atmosphere… Will definitely be back.

   Beautiful meal- loved all 3 courses. Bit of a delay between the starters and the mains but it was worth the wait. Will highly recommend and definitely be back.

   Well, the restaurant cancelled us 3 hours before our scheduled reservation. Having come to Scotland to celebrate my birthday (this very night) and Christmas, what a disappointment. Too late to book another restaurant. They charge us $35 per person should we not cancel before 24 hours, what compensation does a guest receive when the restaurant cancels 3 hours before?

   Had heard very good reports but were quite disappointed. Saw afterwards from others that it has gone down in quality, maybe since a change in ownership? Need to improve service

   Went out as a group of four to celebrate my brother in-laws birthday and cannot fault anything. Staff were warm and welcoming, service was great, food was delicious and plentiful, music and ambiance were excellent. A lovely and relaxed evening was had by all, no sense that they were trying to rush you out the door- we were the last customers to leave. Will definitely return.

   Disappointed with our meal at Forage and Chatter as it was not up to the usual standard. Service was poor and food was very average. Lack of knowledge on allergies (nut and gluten) and overall a frustrating and underwhelming experience. After eating we looked up and realised there has been a change of management - this explains things. We will not be back as the standard of food and service no longer merits the price. A shame as this was our favourite place to eat.

    Fantastic food, but just feels a little pricey and you don’t get a lot for what you pay for.
