   Fogo is lovely but tonight was missing. The service was very slow. We had to get our own fresh plates from the bar for the meat. The restaurant was very busy which is great, but that made for slow service for meats. We asked for one cut from the first time we sat and got it offered at the end of our meal after asking 3 more times. The cuts were good. They forgot our sauces which had also been requested at the start. Not the service we are used to from our past experiences at Fogo, but we all have off days! I’m sure next time will be better again! They did offer a birthday desert which was very considerate! Thanks, Fogo!

   Well they were late by 25-30 minutes in honoring reservations which is not good. They then had to reseat us but gave us a free app to compensate ( i had to ask). It wasn’t really clear what meat was circulating; i had expected pork meat and lamb but that wasn’t offered. If you’re OCD some of the chairs were torn. Some of the salad bar dishes were never replenished and the handles were sticky. Many of the servers did seem quite conscientious.

   Very busy place, lots of moving. Fun place Cool drinks Really good lobster tail The dinner ROLLS!! Get the cheese cake! Price tag worth experience

   This visit to Fogo was for a special "wine and wagyuu" event, which I expected would be in one of the private dining spaces. Instead, customers for that event were seated throughout the regular dining room, to the apparent confusion of the serving staff. I ended up cooling my heels in the bar for around 20 minutes past the listed start date -- literally, as they have only a single-layer door to the outside and every time it opened icy drafts blasted everyone in the vicinity. The actual wines and meats were fine, though the best items were carvings from the regular menu and a chardonnay not officially part of the event lineup. Based on previous special events at this establishment, I can only surmise that some kind of scheduling snafu undermined their accommodation plans. At least the event price was quite modest.

   I decided to stop in for lunch at Fogo in Portland on a business trip. The food was wonderful. However I was very disappointed that I was ignored on multiple occasions by 2 male waiters. I was seated in the middle of the restaurant near the waiter stand. There were 2 servers in rotation and on multiple occasions the male server passed my table without acknowledging my green coaster. Towards the end of my experience apparently my waitress went on break, there was a tall young waiter that came to the dinning area to check on guests. He looked at my table as he approached and never said anything. He passed my table and asked the table next to me as well as behind me if they needed anything. He then made a turn, looked at my table again and went across the room to ask if another guest needed anything.

   This was my fourth time at this location. Today, we didn’t know who our server was. We were never offered a beverage other than water and we were never offered dessert. After we were done eating, we sat there for quite a while before someone asked us if we wanted our check. The guy who asked us if we wanted our check had never been to our table the entire time we were there. The servers who brought the meat were great! Other than that, it was a disappointing experience.

   Food was amazing as always. There was confusion on who was serving our table at the start which caused a long wait between ordering drinks and taking away dirty plates. That changed about half way through. We also noticed that they were missing our corner with the meat rotation. We pointed it out to one of the meat servers, Pedro, and he made sure that changed. Pedro was so enjoyable and even followed up asking if more meat started coming to our side when he didn’t have to. We will be back :)

    Amazing never ending flow of beef, pork, lamb, and chicken served many different ways. Would recommend to anyone hungry.
