We ate here for the first time on our anniversary. The appetizers, pasta, main entree, and dessert were incredible! Our server, John, was friendly, courteous, and attentive, and the entire staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome! We will definitely be back!

Server was inattentive and once he did arrive he was very “pushy”. Appetizers and entrees arrived lukewarm.

We’ve been here multiple times for the last 3-4 years. The quality of food has gone down each time unfortunately. Our recent visit we sat at the bar which was just as good as normal seating, staff are all very friendly and nice. We got the sea food bucatini and short rib with frites. The bucatini is very undercooked.. and we were told they usually do el dente for bucatini… that was def a lot under than el dente, I could almost hear the crunch. And one of the clams was shut (dead) and when we force opened it, it was filled with black junk. We received 50% off for this dish. The short rib was great, however the fries was clearly reheated and had that unique taste of reheated potato. We didn’t want to sounds too picky so we didn’t mention that to our waitress. Overall, we still love the atmosphere there but the very disappointing the food quality is not what it used to be.

I had the scallops and risotto. The scallops were hot, but did not have much seasoning and the risotto was room temperature and very bland. We were there before it got super busy as well so there is really no excuse for the food not to be hot. The service was excellent though and our server did a great job. Your Caesar salad is amazing. We were a little disappointed with this visit, but we will definitely be back.

We’ve eaten here before and enjoyed it, but this time pretty mediocre experience. The garlic in my orecchiette was burned and distasteful. The Bolognese was average at best. The young lady serving the food had long hair dangling over our plates as she served them. Pretty unprofessional service for a supposedly serious restaurant. And, as always, very loud. We’ll go to the Custom Shop next time.

A wonderful dining experience! We arrived a bit early, and the hostess graciously seated us right away. The cocktail were inventive and delicious. (The Campfire was a standout for me!) Apps and entrees were all 10 out of 10. We shared a lot of what we ordered, which was the way to go.The shortrib was spectacular and of course homemade pastas were next level. Dont skip out on the tiramisu if they are offering it! Will definitely return!

I’ve dined at Flour Shop no fewer than fifteen times. In its early days, it stood out as one of the best restaurants in Charlotte, offering an unforgettable dining experience. Unfortunately, those days seem long gone, as the restaurant has now slipped into mediocrity. My last three visits have been profoundly disappointing, with the food consistently bland and uninspired. Last night’s visit was the worst of all. I ordered the Pappardelle and the bread-and-butter service. Once upon a time, Flour Shop prided itself on making its own bread and butter, with the homemade focaccia being a particular highlight. Sadly, this is no longer the case. The new offerings—store-bought substitutes that were dry, tasteless, and unpleasantly chewy. Shockingly, the Pappardelle was even more disappointing. This dish, which used to be my go-to favorite, has become almost unrecognizable. The meat sauce tasted processed, reminiscent of something from a tin can, and the noodles were flavorless. The entire dish lacked the depth and richness that once made it a standout. For the price, Flour Shop is no longer worth visiting. What was once a culinary gem in Charlotte has become a shadow of its former self. Overall, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
