Nestled in the picturesque village of Lowonsford, on the banks of the Stratford Canal, between winding country roads that used to be part of the Forest of Arden, The Fleur De Lys is the very best kind of country pub. Packed full of quaint charm and quirky corners beneath its C16th wooden beams, The Fleur is a cosy haven in the winter and an extensive paradise in the summer. There are so many tiny wonders packed into this historic building that you will always find something new to fall in love with when you visit. Our garden boasts an acre of land to run riot on and a low level wooden children’s playground, alongside over 30 tables and benches. We’re ideally situated for walkers and ramblers who wish to explore the canal towpath or a variety of local walks. If you’re intending on zooming through this part of Warwickshire on a bicycle, The Fleur makes an excellent intermediary watering hole to fortify you for the ride ahead.

Fantastic food and prompt service by lovely staff. Nice atmosphere generally. Only niggle was the price of the drinks. Almost £5 for a glass of Coke and nearly £4 for a cup of tea. Food but expensive but worth it whereas drinks were too high.

The whole experience was excellent, place was warm and inviting (2°c outside). We had the Sunday roasts, meat cooked to perfection, accompanied by loads of fresh veg and plenty of gravy available. Good range of al la carte dish available and a host of tempting puddings too. We'll be back

Friendly and very efficient staff serving decent beer and well cooked food. The pub was nicely busy for a Tuesday lunchtime so I guess they are doing plenty right!

We've been regular visitors over the years to the Fleur but our last few visits have been disappointing. For some reason, most of the main dishes are now served on small plates. On our latest visit we both had one of the pies and were surprised that they are now served with braised red cabbage and chips. Whilst the pies were tasty, we didn't think they represented great value with just 11 chips and the red cabbage crowded on to a small plate. The pies are what the pub is famous for, and they used to be beautifully presented on long rectangular white plates served with a choice of chips or mash and a selection of fresh vegetables. I think anyone visiting the Fleur to try the speciality pies will be somewhat underwhelmed with the current offering, which is a great shame.
