Outstanding service - Sarah was very personably and elevated our experience with her warm demeanor and attentive manner. The food never disappoints- everyone’s meal was packed with flavor leaving us all extremely satisfied and planning our next meal experience here.

Outstanding. May be the best experience we have had in Pittsburgh. Service, food , ambiance were superior. Our waiter and the general manger went above and beyond.

We showed up on time but our table wasn't ready, which was fine, however, they had no space for us at the bar, because they had seated the entire bar for dinner. So they kept us waiting in their ridiculously small entry way along with two other parties. Our server Dominick was great and the food ok but the consistently mediocre front of house experience at all of the DeShantz restaurants becomes increasingly annoying the more I am exposed to it.

This was our second trip to Fish nor Fowl and there was no sophomore slump! The dishes are creative and we've enjoyed making a meal by sharing small plates (so we get to try more dishes!). The service was outstanding. The only ding is for value because of the wine markup. (To be fair, most of the restaurants in Pittsburgh are doing this.)

Beautiful restaurant with fabulous food. We had a reservation and were taken upstairs promptly. We were excited at first - thinking the upstairs would overlook the main floor with it's beautiful living green wall - but were a bit sad when the upstairs area where the dinner tables are is walled off. Why???? The bar upstairs has a great view over the side thru a glass wall. Odd design for the upstairs. That aside --- the food is really fantastic and creative. My friend and I shared everything. We got 2 apps from the "dips" section --- a tasty charred babaganoush topped with crispy chickpeas; and roasted pepper pesto with whipped ricotta. Neither comes with bread - which is odd. You have to order their focaccia (or you could eat your dips w/ a spoon!) - which was fresh and SO tasty and a large portion. Still - this adds another $10 to your bill. (Eyebrow raise - paying for BREAD??) We got a "small plate" - duck confit - with perfectly crisped skin and a divine white bean ragout (reminded us of cassoulet a bit) & pancetta. The last dish was our least fave - the mushroom pappardelle. The cheese overwhelmed the dish. A FAB night. We'll most definitely be back.

Fish nor Fowl is genuinely one of the best restaurants I've been to as well as where I chose to propose to my girlfriend (now fiancé). Every course of food was had was incredible. We had the buckwheat focaccia with calabrese pesto and duck confit for our appetizers and they were all incredible, I cannot recommend them enough. For entrees, we had the chicken parmesan with a side of pasta and the seafood conchiglione. The chicken parmesan was the best I've ever had and the sauce they used on the pasta was incredible. My fiancé said that at first the conchiglione caught her off guard because of its unique flavor, but she ended up loving it. Absolute 10/10, would 100% recommend
