   Recommend for lunch- not for dinner. I have had a couple of positive lunch experiences at this location but was thoroughly disappointed with Xmas Eve dinner at Firebirds. A breakdown of the experience: Food: okay but the prime rib was just average and my wife's pasta/chicken dish was described as being "very salty". Service: below average but it was Xmas Eve and I'd guess their "B team" staff was working. Ambiance: we were seated at a very small table that was cramped. There were a number of booths open that would have provided a much more comfortable experience. However, they weren't presented as an option. We assumed they were reserved for other diners but that didn't prove to be correct. Big error: We ordered three (3) courses- appetizer, salad, main course. Unfortunately, all three separate courses were delivered to our table within five (5) minutes. There literally wasn't room on the small table for the main course so those dishes were returned to the kitchen, only to reappear later as we were mid-way through the second course. There was clearly either miscommunication- or no communication- between server and kitchen- but this sort of mistake shouldn't be made as it's basic blocking and tackling for a restaurant. The fact a manager didn't find it worthy of a trip to the table was also discouraging- although if a manager were actually working that evening, he/she may not have been made aware or, more likely, not have been particularly engaged. I'd still recommend this spot for lunch- the deviled eggs are very good and the burgers tasty- but, unless improvements might get made- this isn't a worthy spot for an expensive dinner. One should expect more from a restaurant commanding $60+/person (no alcohol) than less than excellent food and floundering and apathetic service.

   We love firebirds in Ballantyne! Brought my mom here for her birthday. Food was cold. Gave them a second chance. Food took 50 minutes to arrive and all tables that sat after us had their food. I had chili and my kids had kids meals. It’s a small place so they will be fine without our business.

   The filet and shrimp was delicious. The Cajun potatoes au gratin had a spicy twist. It was a bit expensive, but worth it.

   It was just my wife and I so we were sat at a tiny table up against the wall. No space at all. We each ordered a steak. My filet was so tough and flavorless. My wife’s steak was a ribeye which was overcooked. Food was just okay. We were bummed out because we had high hopes for this place! It felt more like a diner atmosphere than a nice steakhouse. Not worth the money.

    6 of us had dinner at Firebirds last night. As usual, the cocktails and food were delicious. Service was excellent. We love Firebirds and can’t wait to go back!
