Very quiet but waitress still so slow. Served meals one or two at a time. Food mediocre and no sides. Don’t waste your time or money here.

My 11 year old grandson, my wife and daughter enjoyed a wonderful brunch that wasn't rush and allowed us to chat. The past was slow and very respectful. The waiter was extraordinary and I love how he treated my grandson as a guest from how he address him and spoke with him about his meal. I will be back again and again. Love the pork belly !!

I made reservations at this restaurant because of the Paella listed on the Open Table menu. When I arrived, it was not on the menu. The closest thing was "the Sea." On the website menu it says: "The Sea $35 Grilled Market Fish, Daily shellfish, Rice, Pickled Veg, Dijon Ponzu" When the entree arrived it was a soup bowl of shellfish, a teaspoons-size plop of caviar (not "on" anything but the rim of the bowl) and a thumb-size portion of sea bass, which was the Fish of the Day. When the waitress asked if everything was okay, I said, "I expected something in addition to the shellfish, like a roll or bread, a side salad or a vegetable." She said she would tell the Chef. Following the meal, someone brought me a soup spoon with a dollop of what they said was "babaganoush (but tasted more like hummus) topped with caviar. Amuse bouche? Side dish? No. Just a weird combination. It did not placate me or entice me to visit this establishment again. Not a fan.

Fine Palate is a great center city gem. It's the perfect pre- and post-show spot for any Avenue of the Arts venues. The food is delicious and unique (Buffalo Tartare anyone?) and the decor and seating are comfortable, cool and eclectic. Owner Courtney, Chef Vince and the rest of the staff are all fun and friendly. They also validate parking for $12 at the Academy House parking lot, which is a great perk! I highly recommend Fine Palate and visit them frequently!

We had dinner pre-opera. The server was very pleasant but seemed new to the job. She got my husband's order quite wrong, even after coming back to the table once or twice to describe the meal. The first course of morell mushrooms was delicious - sauteed with garlic. My main course of roasted chicken served on ancient grains was tasty -- nothing special but good. My husband's sea bass did not have any sea bass (the error). It was a bouilliabaisse and the shellfish in it was not very good - overly large and tough mussells, eg. We had a 6 pm reservation, with tix at 8 pm. Despite this long period we had to hustle to get to the Kimmel on time because service was exceedingly slow.

Once again, Fine Palate delivered on its promise of great food, attentive service, and a lovely atmosphere! One of my favorite restaurants, an elegant space that we see as our neighborhood gem. Chef Vince and GM Courtney never disappoint, especially for special occasions (like my birthday dinner :)
