   Great atmosphere! Friendly service. A multi-ethnic and wide choice of menu. The cocktails were super fantastic! Would return in a heartbeat.

   The type of music was fine it was just too loud. Such a huge problem in the Sebastopol restaurants (except a recent experience at Campanella). I don't want to hear the conversation of the table next to me as they try to talk over the music and I don't want them to hear mine. It's too bad. I was enjoying the ambience. The food and service was very good. But, it makes for an overall tiresome experience to speak loudly and repeat sentences.

   Fern Bar’s Saturday night vibe is lively and the menu matches with a creative mix of our favorites like Fried Chicken, The Greens, and Smashburgers with unique seasonal entrees for vegans, vegetarians and meat lovers alike. An example from last night? The Roasted Savoy Cabbage, a wedge served on a bed of Beluga Lentil Dal with Delicata Squash rings, cashew cream, pickled onions, tamarind and cilantro all on a fresh crispy Dosa wafer. I’d tried it once before and seeing it on the menu again I didn’t need to look any further. Savory, creamy, tart, sweet, crunchy, all the things. A unique and sensational dish!

   Service was slow despite the restaurant being pretty empty. Food was over priced for the portion size. 18$ for two oysters. We ordered the “spicy” lamb skewers which were just doused in a soy sauce and absolutely covered in sesame seeds. Not spicy and not appetizing in the slightest. Didn’t stay to try another thing.

   Fernbar is impeccable every time I go. Some of my party get the same dish every time and they are always stellar. I get whatever looks best on their seasonally changing menu and they never miss. Truly a wonderful treat yourself meal.

    I had enjoyed the falafel before and was looking forward to it. Unfortunately it was extremely dry (it crumbled when I tried to cut it). Our order arrived within about 3 minutes of placing it and made us wonder if it had been sitting out for hours. Kale salad was good. Our server was great.
