Really good food and service was great. Only two things I would change. 1. the lights in the back room were dim and keep flickering to mimic a candle. 2. when placing the order they ask for you’re whole order and we just wanted to start with the apps. But overall it was very flavorful and well plated food!! Will definitely be going again

The ambiance was nice, food was ok. Overpriced. The server made several rude unprovoked comments which was made the experience a little uncomfortable. I was NOT rude or demanding at all so there was no basis for his behavior On the positive, he brought me a sample of wine to taste before ordering a glass which was appreciated. The other staff were perfectly pleasant.

The Farmhouse is an historic building with great ambiance and a festive atmosphere on a Saturday night, with music and holiday decorations. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and had a choice of tables in a beautiful room and the service was attentive and friendly. Drinks were excellent - the margarita, gimlet and martini were perfectly prepared with fresh ingredients and a generous "pour". The food however was a mixed bag. The beet "salad" was simply chucks of red and yellow beets with a few stalks of frisée and a thick yogurt dressing for dipping. It could have used a few more green elements or maybe some citrus to dress it up a bit. The steaks were uneven - one was tough, dry and overcooked and the other was undercooked. Accompanying fries were served in a bowl and were very soft and mushy with some type of sour cream dressing on top. Gotta have crisp fries with steak frites! However, the scallops and pork chops were very good. Portions were generous. We would return and maybe order differently. It's a lovely spot!

Made reservation and secured with a credit card for a family Christmas Eve dinner. Requested dining in the one of the two rooms to the left when you enter the restaurant (I know this is no guarantee). Those are quaint & charming and festive for a holiday. We were seated in the room to the right of the entrance that usually has swings in it. The swings were removed and tables placed in made it look like a cafeteria, complete with battery operated fake candles. The room was loud, filled with little kids and really felt like we were in a playpen. Not the atmosphere I was looking for a holiday dinner. We were at the first table which was very cold and drafty...every time someone came or left the restaurant we got a draft of cold air. At $110 per person to start, this was extremely disappointing. Our waiter was nice but obviously, busy and apologized multiple times for the wait for our food. Got our first course 1 hour after sitting down. Apps were good, salads were adequate, but my dinner arrived before I was done with the salad. Many options to choose from but main courses were all heavy. How about adding something grilled? Lots of plates not cleared, did not get second drinks, asked to get wine refilled. You get the picture. One of the desserts (cake) that 2 of us had was inedible. It was so hard a bit flew off the spoon it was served with when I tried to break into it. I was handed a fork and knife to cut it. Yes, this was cake! Horrible. At this price point this meal did not live up to the positive experiences we had in the past. This review is for this dining experience only. We have had other wonderful meals here but sadly, will find it hard to go back. Would not recommend on a holiday or special occasion evening.

Last year’s Christmas Eve menu, food, and service was so much better. This year’s food had an institutional, assembly line feel to it and the menu was nothing special. Ordered the linguine vongole and it arrived with the sauce already starting to congeal. It also had very few clams. The ceasar salad was bland and the chocolate soufle was cold. I wish I had spent my money elsewhere.

A very lovely overall experience! From the moment you enter the establishment, you receive a warm and welcoming greeting that morphs into an overall relaxed and unrushed dining experience. Ambience abounds throughout this wonderfully unique and decorative space. The servers are nuanced pros; friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, employing the perfect level of attentiveness. Delicious and inventive dishes like the Squash blossoms with ricotta - just lovely! Would love to more vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. The beautiful property also has a very nice, large patio and garden for dining in the warm months; an environment reminiscent of Tuscany, for sure. Dining at The Farmhouse at the Crossroads is a great place for any occasion. I’ll certainly be back and highly recommend giving it a try.

The main dining room is noisy because it has a sheet rock ceiling and nothing to absorb the noise. I felt the food was expensive. I ordered the scallops for scallops and risotto. $52. Because of the noise in the main dining room, we sat in the mirror room. It was freezing. There was portable heat throughout the restaurant to provide heat rather than fixing the heating system to do it properly. I will not be returning
