    Evangeline's was the perfect setting to celebrate my wife's special birthday. The atmosphere, service and food were outstanding! Absolutely the most elegant restaurant in Tuscaloosa.

    Our waiter Tyler was very attentive and well informed about the menu and the wine selections. We all (4) had a different entree. Our food was cooked as ordered and was delicious. The portions were generous! We ordered one dessert to share( everyone was too full to have individual desserts) and it was a wonderful hot freshly baked Brownie- it was excellent!. Tyler also brought a creme brûlée on the house for my daughter's birthday and the Brownie had a birthday candle. It was all in all an excellent birthday dinner for my daughter.

    Best martinis in Tuscaloosa. Hardest chairs in Alabama. Wasn't as crowded as usual, therefore the noise level was tolerable. When crowded the noise is excessive. Food wonderful as usual.

    We had an AMAZING experience last night. The food couldn’t have been better. My guy said the Waygu Flatiron Steak was the best he’s ever had…and that’s saying a lot. My shrimp and grits were delicious. I don’t like tomato sauce so they fixed me a red wine creamier sauce and it was great!! The service was impeccable…so attentive. I highly recommend if looking for fine dining.

    Dinner at Evangelines does not disappoint. Food quality and quantity is excellent (the value for the $$$$ is good). Service was attentive. They have a few new items on the menu which are definitely worth trying. Thankfully they are one of 2 or 3 restaurants in town that take reservations.
