    We had an amazing New Year’s Eve at Essence. Everything was just as it should be. Great food and drink, excellent service and a really lovely atmosphere. The disco was an unexpected but welcomed extra and we danced into 2025, pausing briefly to watch the fireworks on the Pantiles.

    Our second time of visiting Essence in Tunbridge Wells and as before the food was amazing. We went on New Years Eve and the restaurant was beautifully decorated with a very festive atmosphere. Live music was very welcome too. We were a little disappointed with the service it seemed very slow but we put it down to it being New Year’s Eve. We will certainly be back.

    First visit, lunchtime & was very impressed. Polite attentive staff, attractive decor, relaxed setting, not too close to other diners. Had the 2 course set lunch & everything was very flavourful without being too spicy, portions just the right size, didn’t quite mange everything. Would definitely recommend & pleased to see that the service charge was only 7.5% thank-you!

    Our Christmas dinner at Essence was perfect in every way. The food was absolutely delicious and perfectly served. The staff were very warm and friendly. All the thoughtful little extras were much appreciated. Everything was memorable and special and we may make this a family Christmas tradition!
