   The food and service were both excellent. We enjoyed the atmosphere other than the music was so loud we could barely have conversation. Please consider turning it down to background level and not a feature.

   We sat outside prior to attending a performance at Mesa Arts Center. Highly recommend this spot if you are heading for a performance there - seems we weren’t the only ones doing this as they were slammed for the weekend. Overall everything was great. The food was incredible and our group of 6 did our best to order a variety of items on the menu. Highlights were the birria dumplings, the burger (truly, so good) and the short ribs. The red snapper was good, but it is huge - definitely for the table to share. And the highlight of that was the skin, fried to perfection. The skirt steak was also quite good. Truly everything was delicious. And the cocktail menu is truly something to behold. Wes and the team provided great service and even went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and comfortable on the chilly patio, even running to fill propane tanks when all were out! Will definitely be checking out some of their other establishments around the valley!

   Service: our waitress was really informative and nice, but it appeared that they were short staff that night as service was slow and I felt she was getting pulled in different directions. After all, it was the Mike Tyson fight so I’m sure they had people who called off. Food: Very good! We ordered the birria dumplings and queso fundido to start off with. While they were both good, especially the fundido, the birria was missing tortillas or tostadas for dipping. I understand it’s supposed to be a fusion dish but without the tortillas the broth just ended up being very rich and too much. Our main course the red snapper was delicious. It was market price so we weren’t sure how much it was going to cost but it ended up being over $100 bucks! Don’t get me wrong, it was delicious but wasn’t expecting to pay over $100 bucks for red snapper! Drinks: between my husband and I, we had 4 drinks, they were all very well done, so kudos to the bartender! I had the Phoenix and the bartenders choice (a gin drink) both were bomb! Ambience: the inside looked DOPE AS HELL. But they only had room outside, which the outside was good but if I were to come back I’d want to sit inside. Especially the bar. Overall, four stars, I’d come back for some app and drinks.

   Outstanding, delicious, memorable and authentic southwestern cuisine beautifully presented. The service was top notch and the food came out very quickly and was well paced. Highly recommended. The music was very loud and leaned toward rap, which was distracting and not to our taste. When we commented about it the server was very responsive and the volume was lowered, which helped a lot.

   Mixology is A1. Delicious food (ceviche, burger - can’t go wrong- extraordinary). Very cool vibe. Morgan: thank you for attentive service. We love Espiritu BUT last night the music was loud and RAP?? Worst music ever any restaurant my lifetime.

    We've been regulars of Espiritu ever since they opened. I hope last night was a fluke. Our reservation was at 8. Everything we tried to order they were out of. They bad four hours to go until close and were already out of the snapper and the tap margarita. We adjust our order. It was taking a while, when it arrives it's not what we ordered. The table next to ours had gotten our order and ate it because they thought it was something the manager had given them to make up for something (making them wait a long while for nothing I think) The manager comes to us to say that they are out of the potatoes that come with the hamburger and gives us options for a side replacement. We pick the fries but what they actually are are tiny little fries that are meant as a topping for texture. The hamburger is though and super salty. We noticed that the couple who ordered after us gets potatoes like the ones they were supposed to be out of. I get the manager was trying to make it better for them but made them worse for us when things were already not great. Everything was extremely salty. Mushroom quesadilla was cold in places and didn't have much flavor. Dry aged burger used to be delicious but something has changed. It used to be melt in the mouth but yesterday it was tough and the only flavor was salt. Server was trying his best but there's seems to be a big turnover with personnel. The staff that was the same for a good while I don't know what happened. This was our favorite spot. I think they might be stretched thin with their new ventures.
