Epocha's modern seasonal menu showcases the best of local Australian produce in a charming Victorian terrace overlooking the leafy Carlton Gardens.

Sit on the terrace and enjoy an aperitif before moving into the stunning dining room to sample Chef Gerard Curto's delectable menu. Start with a stunning entree of air-dried tomatoes with ajo blanco, smoked eel and shiso or opt for Freemantle octopus with tarama, smoky paprika and charred onion. For main course choose a premium grass-fed beef fillet with piquillo peppers and yellow roots or Mooloolaba swordfish with pipirrana, parsley and lemon.

To fully appreciate all that Epocha has to offer, come with a partner or a small group of friends and take advantage of one of their exquisite tasting menus.

Every Sunday Epocha hosts a family-style spread for lunch with roast beef, chicken, lamb or pork being at the centre of the meal. The meats rotate weekly so be sure to check online to know which is on offer.

    Insane food and quality for the Sunday roast. Pricier wine...watch out for that. So good - will be back lots!

    I booked Epocha for my wife's birthday dinner. The menu looked great and the reviews were promising. However, we did not enjoy our meal at all. My wife's pork was lukewarm and my marlin was quite tough. The only dish we enjoyed was the octopus. We also ordered duck fat potatoes but they were overcooked and not seasoned at all. Perhaps we caught the kitchen on a bad night but we will not be returning.

    The wine choices by the glass were limited. My meal was good but as I had the swordfish i felt it was a bit bland.

    I loved my dining experience at Epocha. The service was friendly, accommodating and measured. Not too much fawning, which gets annoying & yet never far away when needed. The food was superb. Delicious and interesting Spanish influenced starters including super tasty razor prawns, steak tartare with a twist and braised baby leeks.. followed by perfectly cooked and surprisingly juicy roast chicken, gravy and duck fat roast potatoes with a fresh and interesting cress salad to balance out the richness. I will come again!

    Wonderful Sunday lunch. The lamb was amazing and roast potatoes were perfect. Will be back again soon to sample the weekday menu.

    I’ve been to Epocha three times now and my husband four times. We visited on Friday 7th Feb. on that particular night I just felt the entrees weren’t quite as good as usual. I had a prawn horseradish dish and my husband a steak tartare. But the main swordfish dish and duck potatoes were outstanding and the waitors/ waitresses service was excellent given our time constraints in getting to a live show.
