   What a nice edition to GirardAve. Honestly we tend not too head up to NoLibs or FSHTWN from South Philly because it’s far🤪( that’s sounds like we’re old) , however Emmett’s is worth the trek. From the moment you enter you are made to feel relaxed and welcomed. Erin was our server who guided us through the meal and what a perfect meal it was. The cocktails were lovely and the tasting menu was just happiness in your mouth. (We ate the butter off the spoon) in short, go to here.

   We did the tasting menu and loved everything we had with exception of the chicken fried oyster. Too much breading which made that an outlier among the other exceptional dishes.

   Tremendous service from entry to wait staff, and the rest of the team. Very welcoming. Perfect noise level. Food is amazing. Especially the lamb. There are a lot of Mediterranean restaurants popping up in Philly and this is top 3 for sure.

    This is the exemplar of the modern Philly food scene. A cozy place on a neighborhood corner, unique dishes that connect to a culture, and impeccable service. Emmitt’s family has thought of all the details to make your experience memorable. Everything is made in house (a mark of the chef’s ethics). The glassware and plates are locally sourced and the entire beverage menu can be traced to Pennsylvania. Even the tea is not to be skipped. A big thank you to Ray. Ray, your ability to make us feel like we’re the only ones in a packed restaurant is a skill and speaks to how accomplished you in your profession. We felt so lucky to get a table because, Emmitt, it’s only a matter of time before your books are impossible to touch. Now I’m going to go eat the date cake I brought home.
