   ELY Maynooth is a place I highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant and wine bar impress not only with delicious food but also with a cozy and friendly atmosphere.    Very disappointed spent €200 was not worth it. Food was cold. It was freezing sitting in the restaurant. Did not enjoy the experience at all.

   Last night we had a delightful dining experience here. The meal began with a beautifully presented charger plate. For the main course, I had the hake, which was perfectly cooked, flaky, and flavorful—an absolute treat. The crème brûlée for dessert was the perfect finish, with a crisp, golden top. The wine selection was exceptional! The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and incredibly welcoming. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that we will definitely be returning for!

Accompanied by chips, a rich red wine jus, and crisp seasonal greens, the meal was as well-balanced as it was indulgent. Beyond the steak, ELY's menu is diverse and thoughtfully curated.    Excellent menu, small but in that perfect. We frequently grab a coffee as we are walking the dogs or stop by for a fabulous bottle of wine but it was our first chance for a date night. It didn't disappoint

   Lovely atmosphere for a dinner date and catch up. Food portions were just right and the flavours of our starters and mains were 10/10 and lovely cocktails too. We will definitely be back ☺️

   The lunch menu was very limited. The only proper meals on offer were chicken burger or fish & chips. The rest of the menu was made up avo eggs, granola, soup, salad and sandwiches. A bit disappointing as this was a Christmas lunch meet. We had the fish & chips, the hake had a lovely light tempura batter which was delicious, chips were tasty but the tartar sauce was a bit light on the capers which made it creamy rather than tangy. It really needed a side as the portion was small. We had the sticky toffee pudding and cheese plate. Sticky toffee was a little dry but had good flavour but there was no toffee sauce!!    A great place to meet friends for afternoon lunch/brunch. The quality of food was excellent and atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting. Great value with a great selection of wines. Thanks to everyone in Ely, we will be back.

    We have been to Ely many times and had a good experience. Last lnight was not great. Two of our five small plates were too oily and not edible. Wine is always good. As we were upstairs we could hear the chefs in the kitchen swearing whil chit chatting. Not something I enjoy when paying 110+ for dinner. I know it's hard to get godd staff but you asked for my feedback.
