Atmosphere is wonderful! Service is excellent! Great cocktails! Food has great taste, but portion sizes vs the prices is not okay. You have to order a starter as a side. Very tiny quail with literally no sides at all for almost 30.00. We eat high end as well very often. No desserts at all on a holiday. This is just not acceptable. With such an amazing atmosphere and venue, you must realize this business model won't work long term. I realize food is expensive, but people can and will choose differently if this is all they are offered. 2 small chicken thighs. If you want fries or salad or anything, you are paying another 10-15 for a side salad or fries. Order a burger. Fries are over 10.00 extra No. Not okay. Go for the drinks, not for the food unfortunately. Food has great taste, but you can get other great food in Chattanooga for less price and at least 1 side included.

Dining is available inside or under cover outside. My husband and I ate there twice during out stay at The Hotel Chalet. Manager and staff were very attentive. Filet mignon was perfectly prepared and it came with an absolutely outstanding sauce. Shrimp and grits - the best I have ever had. There new chef is a genius!

I ate at Elsie’s about it a month ago and it was fantastic. I hyped the place up to my friends so we decided to go there for Sunday brunch. Our experience was so abysmal that I’m allowed to pick the brunch place anymore. They were terribly understaffed and out of several items. We were told that they did not have orange juice, but we could plainly see others ordering and drinking mimosas. We had to ask for menus and flatware. We waited an hour and 10 minutes for our food. We asked for salt and pepper and they brought us pepper and an empty salt shaker. They were out of paper towels in the restroom. The whole experience was a hot mess! They did give us a discount for our long wait but I’m not sure we’ll go back.

Everyone that works at this restaurant is extremely kind. However, if there is not enough staff there to work then you cannot experience the food. I brought my mom there for a special occasion and we were going to see a show and we were there from 11:45 until 1:10 and still did not have our food. We had to go to a show on a side salad and we ended up going to another restaurant following the show. It was an extremely disappointing experience.

The ambience and service were excellent. The food was subpar. My fries were cold and limp and the broccoli rabe was impossible to eat. The portions are very small both for drinks and the meal.

The beverages were quite good. The winter salad, mushroom dish and curried sweet potato dish was very good. The filet was not. And they took it off the bill no problem. The table next door liked their filet, so perhaps just a one-off. We will return for sure

Elsie’s is a great little place, atmosphere is really nice and eclectic, we sat on the covered patio, tables and chairs are not really very comfortable given they are metal. Food is good, problem is the menu and the lack of choice, very small menu, kind of place you would expect a few specials for the month, wife had the salmon pasta which is said to be house made pasta, didn’t taste like that but was still very good. I had the Filet which might be 6oz and comes sliced which if not served immediately starts to cool off and mine was like warm when it arrived. I like the vibe but menu most likely will keep me from going back other than for drinks.

La comida estuvo deliciosa. No había mucha gente y el servicio fue muy bueno. El lugar es pequeño pero acogedor. Las porciones son suficientes (ni muy grandes, ni muy pequeñas) Muy recomendable.

The food took forever to come out. The server was so sweet but the food taking over an hour to come out for just 5 people is wild for the food took be sub par.
