Nestled high above LoHi on the fifth floor of 2930 Umatilla, El Five boasts spectacular, unobstructed views of the downtown Denver skyline. The menu is an homage to the Mediterranean and features small plates built on bold flavors found throughout the region: Spain, North Africa, the Middle East.

Inside, the space is understated and sensual, flanked by a large, open-air patio for sun-kissed Colorado nights. As the newest restaurant in the Edible Beats family, El Five celebrates the confluence of flavors, ideas and geographies made possible by a subtle shift in perspective.

The ambiance and food were amazing. And staff were all so attentive to our needs and very knowledgeable about the menu. The chef sent out some incredible dishes to our table. CATY was a fantastic server, knowledgeable and great personality to make our experience top notch.

                                                                                                                        Consistently great place for dinner and celebrations! Wine list is awesome for its diversity and the food is consistently delicious. It’s been a few years since I’ve been there, partly because sometimes hard to get a reservation when wanted, but still a place to return to again.

The servers were all very kind and ready to explain the menu to us. They also had an incredible wine list. I would recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.

The service was impeccable by timing the serving of dishes perfectly, constant attention for refills, new silverware, and friendly gestures.

                                                                                                                        We had a late night meal for seven to celebrate our 34 yr old daughter’s birthday. I made reservations and received a call from Tyler the day before - he mentioned that he would be taking cate of us. When we arrived, he met us and sat us at a large table in the back. We were also given the option of sitting in the front room with a view of the city. He mentioned that other tables would be clearing out in the back room and it would become quiet. Our group decided to stay at the large table and enjoy our privacy. We were grateful to be offered options. We all ordered cocktails and were very satisfied with the specialty drinks. The menu consisted of “beginning” plates - hummus/olive etc., many choices of tapas, and paella. We had three vegetarians in the group and were faced with a lot of options. Tyler suggested that he could take care of ordering. Such a great idea! The many dishes came out with perfect timing and were just delicious. Meat that came with various tapas was delivered on separate dishes - everyone was happy. The paella was split between a vegetarian option and meat option. The desserts were delicious and a bowl of sugared hazelnuts was served with a birthday candle! We are all still ooohing and awwwwing over this incredible dining experience. Thank you El Five staff and a special thanks to Tyler! For a lighter dining experience, we will come back for tapas and cocktails. Linda

                                                                                                                        Outstanding food and a varied menu, ranging from North African to Mediterranean tapas options to caviar. The atmosphere reflects that- it is vibrant and has always been busy. Views are wonderful. Service is fast and effiicient, even when busy. Paellas need to be ordered 45-60 mins ahead of time, but worth it. The cost is on the higher side for tapas, but the portions are generous and quality is excellent.
