   The ambience was not very nice unfortunately. We’ve been given metal plates that you usually only use in the kitchen and when cutting our food, it left scratches on those metal plates meaning we were basically ingesting metal dust with our food.. everything was grey and industrial instead of warm and comfortable, like the previous location. The pizzas were lovely though, but the Brussel sprouts were completely brown and too sweet, dripping with honey and oil.

   WOW. El Capitano has it all, excellent food, great service, well priced, great ambiance. Probably the best pizza I have had! 10/10

   Disappointing. The lamb pizza had an unpleasant taste. The smoked mussels tasted like tinned mussels and were not in a Sugo sauce , just an oily sauce same with the prawn tagliatelle, tasteless sauce. Also when booking they state 9% surcharge on Sunday but charge you 10% very misleading. Don’t waste your money at this place, better places to eat in Hastings Street.

   Tasty pizzas, wonderfully crisp crust. We prefer the ambience from when they were upstairs.

   Long time patron but our first time in the new location. Not quite the same vibe as upstairs. Nice, but not as cool and unique as the previous location. Service was great as always. Food was good, however we were very disappointed with the reduced vegan options and the omission of your amazing salads. Hopefully you can improve on this as we can’t really justify coming in for a pizza only.

   A great spot for families with young kids, offering convenient early afternoon hours and a good variety of children’s meals. The staff who served us were friendly and helpful. However, the host was a bit dismissive when we requested a dessert menu, which led us to leave and have dessert elsewhere. Overall, a good experience, though some improvement in attentiveness would make it even better.

   Great little pizza/italian place in the heart of Noosa Heads. Good service, great food but can be a bit noisy due to the concrete floor which may be a problem for anyone who experience sensory issues. Make sure you book, walk ins are almost impossible. Will definitely go back next time we are in Noosa.

   The new fit out is nice however the standard of good has dropped and the pizzas are not very good at all.

    El Capitano has been a family favourite for almost a decade so when we saw that the restaurant was moving to street front we were excited. This was our second visit to the new venue and we feel that in the change of premises and obvious change of hands, EC has lost its warmth, charm and much of its excellent menu. As we were celebrating a significant birthday I had booked over week in advance and requested a special table. Instead we were seated at a cramped table sandwiched between two parties both with high chairs and screeching toddlers. To add insult to injury we watched better tables sit empty all night. The service was inconsistent, one of our sides arrived long before the mains and went stone cold, and the pastas were small and had ingredients on them that weren’t listed on the menu. The experience lacked the care and attention to detail we have come to expect from El Capitano. We understand that nothing stays the same forever but those that loved the original restaurant should adjust their expectations.
