   Horrible service. Everyone acts like you are eating at the most exclusive restaurant and should feel lucky to be there but then the entire experience is horrible. Forgot appetizers, food wasn’t cooked properly, and everything is very expensive and let’s remember you’re in a mall. Go someplace else and get a better meal and service. It’s my second try here and my last ever.

   Nothing like the other Eataly NYC locations. They were sold out of key entrees on a Friday evening. We barely touched our food and drinks because they tasted frozen and bland. Don’t waste your time, 1. There are there plenty of incredible Italian restaurants with homemade pasta in the area and 2. If you actually want the Eataly menu, go to the city. The entire location just opened and they already need an overhaul in training.

   Excellent edition to Short Hills. The restaurant was empty for dinner but the hostess said there weren’t any reservations available. I continued to refresh the app and one eventually opened.

   Service was excellent! Food was just ok.. I wouldn’t go back. The pizza in the front of the store is better than inside the restaurant!

   We had a reservation for 2:15 and did not get seated until 2:45. People with a reservation at 2pm came in after us which was after the 14min grace period (same part size) and they gave them our table. Why have a reservation or a grace period that’s not enforced. We then got squeezed into an area that was for 4 people, we were 5 and it was super tight. Had tall gentleman with us which made it hard for the spot they squeezed us into. After we got seated it took another 15 min for the waiter to come. Once he did he was awesome and food was as treat.

   We finally got a reservation at Eataly and were so excited but it was a terrible experience unfortunately. The service was exceptionally bad! Atleast 4 things we wanted to order on the menu were out. The drinks arrived after a wait of almost 40 minutes even though the place wasn’t packed or anything. The food arrived before the drinks! We had to ask for a second bottle of water at least 3 times before we finally got it. The person waiting on us had taken on too much and couldn’t do justice to her job coz she was so overwhelmed. The manager was nice when we aired our grievances.

   This was our second time here, and the first time dining here for dinner. We ordered the capricciosa and massese pies and both were great. We also ordered the linguine scoglio and tagliatelle alla bolognese dishes. Both were very good as well and not overly salted, which was a vast improvement over the pasta dishes that my wife and I ordered a couple of weeks after the grand opening. We are impressed and glad to see that the feedback we shared with our waiter from our first time was taken seriously and changed the flavor and taste of the dishes for the better.

    After hearing about the crowds and variety of food, I was excited to go. I thought the menu options were pretty limited, for Italian food. Taste was average to good. I don’t understand how they serve prosciutto that isn’t paper thin. Too thick for me to enjoy. Ordering one app, two pasta plates, two pizzas, and a glass of red wine (under poured mind you), I was shocked to drop $200 including tip. Would not return.
