While pizza and pasta are just the tip of the Italian iceberg, there is a reason these two culinary staples are the most beloved exports from Italy. Enjoy our seasonal selection just steps away from where our expert pasta chefs and dough-slinging pizzaioli (pizza makers) create dishes before your eyes.

We finally got a reservation at Eataly and were so excited but it was a terrible experience unfortunately. The service was exceptionally bad! Atleast 4 things we wanted to order on the menu were out. The drinks arrived after a wait of almost 40 minutes even though the place wasn’t packed or anything. The food arrived before the drinks! We had to ask for a second bottle of water at least 3 times before we finally got it. The person waiting on us had taken on too much and couldn’t do justice to her job coz she was so overwhelmed. The manager was nice when we aired our grievances.

This was our second time here, and the first time dining here for dinner. We ordered the capricciosa and massese pies and both were great. We also ordered the linguine scoglio and tagliatelle alla bolognese dishes. Both were very good as well and not overly salted, which was a vast improvement over the pasta dishes that my wife and I ordered a couple of weeks after the grand opening. We are impressed and glad to see that the feedback we shared with our waiter from our first time was taken seriously and changed the flavor and taste of the dishes for the better.

Food is decent, although the portions are quite small. They do not pay attention to details. For example, the menu described the specialty, (high priced) pasta we chose as being prepared in a Parmesan wheel, but it was simply served in a bowl. When we inquired about the Error, they said “oh we’re not allowed to have Parmesan wheels in New Jersey. “ OK then change your menu and change your price! The biggest flaw continues to be the front desk host and system that makes you wait no matter what time your reservation is, and then shows you to the worst possible table unless you complain. It’s also a tight space to wait for the tables that they delay you going to, so people end up standing over you or getting bumped into because they’re in the busy wine section of the store. Also, we bought caviar on the way out and one of the tins was spoiled and half empty. I will be calling the store tomorrow for a refund. Perhaps in another six months the operation will be tighter.

Service was great and very accommodating, however 2 of the 3 pastas we ordered were way too salty. A little overpriced for the portions we received. Would not return for this reason.

The food & service were excellent. The only criticism I would have is a $4.00 charge for bread. That is not customary & I think they would sell more bread if they placed some bread on the table without charge.

There were some items that we enjoyed:butternut squash ravioli, pizza and the cheese and meat board which was not served with bread. But the Caesar salad was bland and contained no croutons nor anchovies and also bland was the pasta with ragu sauce. The bread we did request was nothing special. If I return it will be for the pizza.

Food was excellent, well flavored and perfectly prepared - value was ok due to price/portion but definitely a flavorful experience. Happy holidays!

Our family enjoyed a wonderful holiday dinner at Eataly. The staff was exceptional, our food was amazing and presented beautifully. We were so impressed throughout the entire evening.

The service was totally off. Never assigned a server, food came out in the wrong order, items left off Cesar salad and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to pick up my credit card. Kind of seemed like an orchestra without a conductor.
