Eastside Bar & Grill pays homage to the upmarket dining experiences of New York, nestled within a heritage listed warehouse, evoking the atmosphere of New York’s famed meatpacking district.

At Eastside you'll find incredible seafood and the finest cuts of meat that have been dry-aged in-house and prepared on the beautiful custom-built Parrilla wood-fire grill by Head Chef Sebastian Plazas and team.

Dark, sexy and theatrical, the restaurant features a leather paneled bar with bronze back bar display. A custom brass light fixture, a runway of herringbone flooring and an assortment of steel and leather chairs, marrying the existing raw structure of this 100-year-old building.

    I’ve never written a bad review in my life but I was most disappointed with this experience. I was really looking forward to dining at East Side Bar & Grill for Valentine’s Day, but unfortunately, the experience left me feeling quite deflated. To start, we waited an hour just for our starters, which was already frustrating. When they finally arrived, the prawn dish was extremely underwhelming—there was barely any prawn to actually eat, and for the price, I expected much more. My boyfriend and I decided to upgrade to the Tomahawk steak for an additional $30 per person, assuming it would be a generous and satisfying portion. However, we were left feeling disappointed and still hungry. The plate was mostly fat, and realistically, there was barely enough steak for one person, let alone both of us. We love eating steak out, but this was one of the most disappointing we’ve had, especially considering the price. The only redeeming part of the meal was the dessert, which I genuinely enjoyed. But overall, I left feeling like I could have had a much better experience elsewhere for the same (or even less) money. To add to the frustration, my glass of wine was taken away before I had finished, and I had to ask for it back—mistakes happen, but it just added to the overall letdown of the evening. For a special occasion like Valentine’s Day, I was expecting a great meal and a memorable experience, but instead, I walked away feeling like I had wasted my money. I honestly wish I had just stayed at home and cooked something I actually enjoyed.

    Spent $500 on the Valentine’s Day menu for 2 people plus 2 drinks each Entree was fine, nothing special about the food we got as an entree. The main course we upgraded to the mbs7 wagyu tomahawk, it was a perfectly cooked steak I will admit however half of the steak was fat, even though Wagyu is going to be a fattier steak, this was just ridiculous, more fat then there was actual steak for an extra $90 per person Dessert was dissapointing, I got the lava cake and my girlfriend got the cheese platter, lava cake didn’t taste any different to one from the supermarket Overall, very disappointed, for the money I spent it just wasn’t worth it for me. I also asked if I could add 100g of the brisket as an add on and I couldn’t do that, I understand it was a set menu but this was just disappointed especially considering half of the steak was fat, I left the restuarant still hungry

    I think I’m cheated, the meat what i order is different in three times, yeah i have been there three times, they bring me the most fat beef which not popular to pretend the expensive one, i have the photo to prove it, please give me feedback and give me refund.

    Really nice place with a great atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly. We were a party of two and found the table a bit small and cluttered. We had the topside and brisket with veges. The meat was nicely cooked and well presented. We'll be back.

    My partner and I dined at Eastside bar and Grill for the Tuesday $98 Tomahawk steak deal and it was amazing. The steak was incredibly tender and the pepper, mushroom gravy and truffle mayo were perfect accompaniments. We had steak fries and green beans as sides and the green beans were exceptional. The atmosphere was intimate with candlelight, making a great setting for a special evening. The staff were phenomenal, especially helping me surprise my partner with a beautifully decorated chocolate lava cake for his birthday. Overall the food, service, and ambience were outstanding. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back!
