   Food was cold. Manager stepped in to comp one meal. We go here regularly and this experience is not the usual. Manager was very cooperative. We’ll be back but not for brunch menu.

   I booked Earls for the dinning room. When we got there they said there was no room for us in the dinning room, and put us in the noisy lounge. Why make a booking when you can't follow simple instructions. We wanted to go out for a relaxing supper not a sports bar.

   I’ve enjoyed Earls on 130th since they opened, but after my recent visit, it will be a while before I consider returning. Our server Maya was the primary saving grace of our evening. She was attentive, personable, and informative. Another positive move by the restaurant was acknowledging my birthday (info from the Open Table reservation). I received a card and a small vase of flowers to take home. However, the food was only average, the menu keeps changing (removing favourites, adding experimental dishes), and the environment was not appealing, due to genre and excessive volume of the “background” music. “Energetic” is not the word I would choose to describe the noise level. It was deafening. The sound track was completely out of touch with the demographic of our suburban location. It was angry, head-banging rap. It was so loud, we couldn’t hear each other speak. I was advised that “Corporate” chooses the sound track. That’s unfortunate. But the local restaurant surely has the ability to control the volume?!?!! The fact that we only saw one other diner in the restaurant (at 10 pm on a Friday night) should be a clear signal to management that what they are doing isn’t working.

   Food was excellent, as always. I asked for the soup and salad, but I received it backwards, first the salad, then the soup after a little wait. No big deal, I said. We were there to celebrate one of my long standing colleague’s birthday and wasn’t going to make a scene. We wanted to have an amazing lunch and celebrate him. After we all ate, we waited for 20 minutes or so to just get some water. Our waitress was very busy, it was lunchtime, and didn’t pay much attention to us, and there was no offer to see a desert menu. I would have liked to order a piece of cake and celebrate my colleague, but it was already getting late and with no service in sight, we decided to just get the bill and leave. Not the ideal ending that I envisioned when I booked the lunch to celebrate a birthday. It definitely did not justify the 18% tip that I regret adding to the bill. Will be back at this restaurant, because it’s close to our office, but I expect much better service and much more attention to detail.

   Amazing!! Every time we come to this earls it fantastic! Isabella our server was knowledgeable and so friendly. The manager Nicole was very helpful and made our experience so memorable!
