Ilan Cohen is a self-taught chef who began his career in Jerusalem, Israel more than 20 years ago.
Along with his wife Lauren they opened Falafel Bistro & Wine Bar in 2007, DVASH’s sister location, and has been serving authentic-Israeli cuisine to the South Florida community for more than a decade.

DVASH, located in Boca Raton, showcases a modern twist on classic mediterranean cuisine. Imagined by Cohen’s daughter, Anabel Hochberg, the menu is designed for sharing and provides guests with the opportunity to travel the culinary world through their taste buds, using only the freshest seasonal ingredients and of course, a little bit of honey.

    3 of us went to Dvash on Saturday, December 14. We had just come from the Wick Theater, so we were dining early at 5:15pm. I ordered the MAJADARA which is a Middle Eastern Style Risotto comprised of Lentils, mushrooms, onions and rice. It was absolutely delicious. The flavor and texture was the best meal I've had in ages. My husband ordered the CHEF'S BURGER on a Brioche bun, made from short rib & brisket blend with caramelized onions, brie cheese and garlic dvash. He loved it! He said it was the BEST burger he ever had!!! My son who often orders Mediterranean food, had HAGALIL HUMMUS, which contained Ground lamb & beef, eggplant, raisins, and roasted almonds. It also included a Jerusalem bagel & pickles. Another winner! Our first time experience at Dvash was more than we could have anticipated, and we will definitely return soon.

    The food is consistently outstanding , every appetizer is delicious, the hummus is creative and delicious and the burgers are outrageously good. All dishes easy to share with 4 people

    Loooove this place! Best burger I’ve ever had )mishigana burger) My husband had the schnitzel. Too much for one person. Service excellent! Probably out favorite restaurant in our area

    As always the food was excellent. I love their Chefs Burger and I got the scallops over corn purée. Both delicious.

    We loved the burrata with a honey and hazelnut dipping sauce, and chopped Caesar salad for the perfect lunch!

    Always enjoy our time at Dash. Excellent, tasty food. Quite pricey but just about worth it. Only very slight negative was the music!!
