Founded in 2022, Dutch Rules Distilling Co. explores the relationship between modern spirits and their traditional origins. Hailing from Sri Lanka, owner and founder Danny Perera wanted to share the influence trade routes from the Dutch East Indies and Spice Islands had on traditional European exports.

With a focus on flavour and ingenuity, we are creating modern and inviting hand-crafted spirits for the modern palate.

Great new drinking spot in Mitcham, drinks were absolutely delicious. We were there early on a Friday afternoon so it was quiet, but the music was on and the interiors were nice and clean. Highly recommend this spot.

Very impressed (we are locals) loved the atmosphere, music, cocktails. Definitely worth visiting.

Gin tasty and cocktails excellent and good value. Music selection great. Staff very helpful. Understand Dutch Rules Distillery has only been open for a short time but was cold inside. Perhaps another heater or fire place, art work on walls, rugs, lamps to make it more cosy. Perhaps more attention to detail in the loo (mirror).
