   One of our favourite spots to visit when we come to Merimbula. The burgers always hit the spot, and the cocktails are lovely. My only wish would be for some more finger food options for snacking. We take our kids and have no issues whatsoever, just go early and keep them entertained.

   We ate outside which suited us as we had our small dog with us. Hamburger served on cardboard dish, no knife or fork use hands...drinks very expensive, Sydney prices. glass of sav blanc $16 The food was tasty, but $25 for a hamburger .

   The burgers are among the best anywhere. Fries are perfectly cooked and sauces delicious, but ask for less salt if you dislike dehydration. The paper lined baskets are a nightmare when it’s breezy on the deck; several of us got sauce-stained clothes when they blew out onto us. The soft drinks are a joke; just shy of $20 for two lemonades and a lemon, lie and bitters, with all the glasses completely filled to the brim with ice…so the kids got three sips of what they ordered then a nice glass of ice. It’s a shame because the vibe, views, burgers and cocktails are all great, and the staff are generally friendly and efficient. Just ask for no ice!

   The burgers were delicious, however the service was far from satisfactory. A simple request for a teaspoon so we could feed our baby was met with complete disregard from the bar staff and then a food staff only offered a fork. Luckily the third person we asked was able to find a spoon for us. Then we took our kids out the back to stretch their legs (the restaurant isn’t very family friendly), and the manager told us to get out of that space because it’s staff only and they put their belongings out there. There wasn’t any signs indicating this and there was nothing out there apart from the benches that would’ve been great to sit at if they weren’t hidden away.

   Dear Lewis, Thank you for sharing your feedback. While we’re glad you enjoyed the food, please let us clarify a few details about your visit. The outdoor area you accessed was closed at the time as it wasn’t prepared for guests, it had foot long grass and chefs prepping. Our manager explained this and apologised for the inconvenience. However, we must address the comment made to your children about our venue that included terrible language. Such remarks are not constructive and are inconsistent with the respectful environment we strive to maintain for all guests. As a cocktail bar, we focus on providing an adult-friendly atmosphere, though we always do our best to accommodate families.     The staff were rude we waited 1 and a half hours for the birthday girls 2 nd burger after a first wrong order that they made her pay for..They questioned the order and made us show proof of purchase on our phone app..After they had lost the order..We are a group of 10 locals that will never go back…

    Hi Zoe, Thank you for your feedback. I’d like to clarify a few points regarding your daughters experience as you were absent from the reservation: Unaccompanied Minors: As a licensed venue, minors must be accompanied by a guardian. An exception was made once arrangements were confirmed. Burger Order: Your daughter used our online QR ordering system and unfortunately, the option to remove sauce was not selected during the process. My colleague and I both offered to remake the burger. However, as I observed and reconfirmed via our security footage, the issue was resolved at the table when another guest shared their bun top. Wait Time: The second burger, ordered separately, was delayed due to a high volume of 140+ guests, though the original order was served within 25 minutes. Cheers, KB
