The food is tasty and prepared with care but the prices are frankly insane for the portion sizes. Service is fine. Highlight dishes: the hongshao rou--but missing normal garnishes like quail eggs, potatoes, or rice, served instead with the same garnishes as peking duck, which is a bit hard to justify, but still tasty. Misses: Xiaolongbao --The soup was a miss for me, pairing poorly with the skin and the vinegar, flavor resembles niuroujianbao which doesn't pair well with the thin skin and dark vinegar, and this vinegar is not accentuating the flavor of ginger or refreshing the palate. Xialongbao is a flexible dish but one with highly fixed virtues, and this manages to miss the extraordinary harmony of the classic. --the chashaobao one guest told me that it was too soggy on bottom. Also, $15 for less food than a taco is a bit rough. While these are delicio, and the meat is clearly no joke to prepare, you cannot help but feel wronged by the portion sizes. These are small for baozi! I have high standards for chinese food at these prices, and this is acceptable, and tasty, but not great. I like fusion cuisine when it can offer a unique and superior value to the traditional cuisine. Shanghai cuisine should be more elegant in taste while being substantial and straightforward.

Duck Duck Goat is one of our favorite restaurants! The decor is beautiful and cool, creating the perfect vibe for a memorable dining experience. The service is great, and the food is incredibly flavorful. Highlights include the glass noodles, green beans, cucumbers, and the mango cloud dessert. We also love that there are so many fantastic vegetarian options! We came back for my daughter's birthday when she returned from college, and it was a great place for a celebration. Highly recommend!

I had high hopes for this place, but it turned out to be a complete letdown. First and foremost, the food was far from authentic—bland, uninspired, and clearly catering to an audience that has never tasted the real thing. Every dish felt like a watered-down version of what it was supposed to be. To make matters worse, the dining experience was downright unpleasant. Seated next to me were two loud, obnoxious men who spent the entire meal lamenting the supposed decline of the American empire while laughing in a way that can only be described as unsettling. Their voices were so intrusive that it was impossible to enjoy my meal, not that there was much to enjoy in the first place. If you’re looking for good food and a decent atmosphere, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
