   We were looking forward to a dinner for Valentine’s Day with another couple. Upon arrival, things started off poorly- no one greeted us at the door and it was confusing who to see to check in. Finally, one of the staff came over to let a large group of us know that seating would be exactly at 7:00PM (no problem with that but it could have been communicated upon arrival). Upon seating, one placement of utensils was missing along with 2 water glasses. Our server seemed hurried. She took our food order (fixe price menu), and we asked to see the wine list. She went to other tables and seemed to forget our request for the missing tableware and wine list. After 10 minutes or so, another server brought us the wine list. Each couple ordered 1 bottle. We were informed that our choice (a featured red) was not available (unstocked for Valentines Day?), and we were offered an option that was $30 more per bottle. Note - most places offer a discount or even the same price for the alternative if the preferred option is featured on menu and unavailable. First course arrived, and both appetizers were tasty. One couple received their entrees shortly after the appetizers. The other couple had to wait 20+ minutes for their entrees. Not wanting their friends’ food to cool, they encouraged them to eat as they were told “your entrees will be ‘right out’. They did start to eat but it became so awkward as the delay stretched on. They ended up boxing up most of their meal and commented it had gotten cold. Our entrees finally arrived and both were flavorful but, by that time, we felt awkward eating when our friends were done. While Dos Olivos did reduce our bill by $50, it could not make up for the disappointment. Dessert was brought out while we were still eating our entrees. My wife felt rushed and did not eat much of the dessert. While our server seemed genuinely apologetic, no one from management came by to apologize for ruining the experience on Valentine’s Day.

   Delicious food , nice staff, made reservations for the valentine dinner and because they sat everyone at the same time exactly at 7, it just took longer to get water (20min) then drinks and order at 7:30 pm, at least for the two of us. The bigger parties were waited on right away. It’s great any other day.

   The servers were super sweet and accommodating. Definitely didn’t need a reservation and there was a hair in my French toast which wasn’t ideal. They also didn’t have menu item I wanted so I had to pivot when I was ordering.

   Such an amazingly creative menu and the execution is perfect. Wonderful staff and ambiance and some unique items in the shop.

Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a gathering with a group of 20, and the restaurant did not disappoint. From the start, the staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating, ensuring that our group’s needs were met promptly without feeling rushed. A special shout-out to our servers, Kaitlyn and Kathryn, who went above and beyond to make sure our experience was seamless. They were friendly, efficient, and made us feel right at home. The service was efficient, with our food arriving at the table in a timely manner, which is no small feat for a party of our size. Drinks were continually topped off, and every detail seemed to be handled with care. The atmosphere at Dos Olivos further enhances the experience.    We had a great experience at Dos Olivos. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere and we could hear each other talk! The meal was delicious and our server was excellent. Attentive without being intrusive. We were there for about 3 hours visiting with family. Even after we paid our bill our server continued to make sure our water carafe was filled. We highly recommend Dos Olivos.

   First time, but not our last. We enjoyed the ribeye, mashed potatoes, street corn and churro. A winearita is a must. I love supporting small local businesses.

    Nice location. Easy parking. Love the restaurant/market concept. The owner should look into a hiring a lighting expert. The restroom needs calmer bulbs. The lighting/bulbs feel in the main dining areas feel like spotlights in some areas. We sat next to the broken bottom beer fridge which was like sitting next to a convenience store aisle. Food was tasty and well portioned, broccolini wasn’t. We did feel rushed, however.
