Service was ok , asked for water , didn’t get it . Wine took ages to come . Ordered roast dinners , food was a mound in the middle of the plate and swamped in gravy . I like gravy but not spilling over the edge of the plate . Didn’t taste fresh , carrots were the best . Disappointed we had heard such good things

The best roast dinner within the area bar none. Always an exceptional standard and the only place I'll go to when the food is this good 👌

The food was really good but the service wasn’t. The main course took an hour to come out, and there was no apology or reason and drink orders were forgotten about. The waitress seemed like she didn’t want to be there and was quite rude throughout the night. A shame really as the food was delicious.

The menu was varied. 4 of our party had the gammon, egg and chips, I had the chicken ceasar salad. Everyone's plate was cleared and we all had just a little room for pudding.

The food was lovely and great portion sizes. Unfortunately, the service was slow and poor. We had to chase them to bring our wine order. We weren't even asked if we wanted a dessert, instead just asked if we wanted to leave the restaurant and move through to the bar so they could set the table for the following day. Although they advertise the kitchen being open until 9pm, and our table was booked for 8:30pm (which we turned up 10mins before) I wouldn't recommend booking that late as they clearly make you feel uncomfortable for keeping them there even though we spent £100 on a meal/drinks for 2.

Only our second visit for Sunday lunch , place was very quiet, probably due to Halloween parties. Service good , placed orders for lunch , no red cabbage on any off them , came with red cabbage , was not waitress fault , she did write it down , could have been better with different vegetables, don’t like mange tu with gravey.

Excellent food reasonably priced. Service a bit slow but worth the wait.
