The restaurant is ok. The staff were nice however the food is a little over priced. They charged extra for caramel on a desert and extra for some plain toast.

The venue is way too small with that many tables. I was bumped several times by staff and even hit with the garbage can the busboy was emptying. Tables were inches apart so people could hardly move throughout the restaurant. Almost every items we requested was not available. They did not have red beans and rice, nor dirty rice that came with my entree and wanted to charge me to substitute. We went there specifically for oysters and they ran out after one order of a half dozen. Miraculously they found some later. All of the crab dishes were extremely salty. Drinks were terrible. We tried the eggnog, house margarita, swirl daiquiri and rosé. The collard greens were flavorless, and the Mac and cheese was absolutely awful! The only dishes we actually liked were the beignets, gumbo and lamb chops. The lamb chops were excellent so I had to mention them twice! I spent $277 for a party of 2 just to eat 2 lamb chops and some beignets. That was our first and last visit. We will never recommend this restaurant.

I visited Don’s today and was very impressed with the food and service. I’m born and raised in southern Louisiana and I’m normally a harsh critic on Cajun food that isn’t cooked by my mom or myself. Wow, I am glad we tried this place. Amazing food and I’ll be back. The food wasn’t the best part. The owner came over to the table, quite a few times to chat with me and my kids. His team of associates were equally as pleasant. Is tomorrow too soon to go back for more??? Lol Try this place ASAP

Food and drinks are very good. The portion sizes for food are more than enough. Oyster Trio was fantastic. The restaurant is small and very casual. I highly recommend for a casual date night or friend’s outing.

I saw this restaurant over the summer when I dined at C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar. My husband and I put it on our list to visit one day. That day was today, unfortunately. We had reservations for 6pm. We arrived approximately 5:50PM. Upon entering, we waited until the Host finished a call, then we stepped up to let her know that we had reservations. She asked for our name and said she would get the table cleaned for us. When she came back she asked us if we mind sitting at the table in the front or the bar because they had a party of 20 coming at 7:30PM. The place is so small, it barely seats 20 people. I told her no and no. The table was right in the front as you enter the restaurant. Directly in front of the door. She said that she can seat us but we had to be finished by 7:30. We decided to go ahead and sit at the bar and it continued to go downhill. Don't waste your time trying this place. The stuff we saw behind the bar shouldn't be seen by the customers. Trash, fruit being left out as fruit flies or whatever flying bug was flying around. It was only one bartender. Service was slow and the food wasn't good. My husband ordered oysters and he was so ready to leave that he decided not to order an entree. I ordered the catfish plate that took about 25-30 minutes to come. The bartender said we were waiting for my fries; however, when I did get my food, the fries were cold. So, they couldn't have been waiting on my fries. I heard the hostess calling people who had reservations and canceling them. One couple sat at the bar, but decided to leave right away. We should have too, but I wanted to go ahead and try it so that I could give an honest review. Poor organization, poor service and poor food. I also wanted to add that my Espresso Martini was $17 and wasn't worth a dime. Also the physical copy of the menu that they give you doesn't show the automatic 20% gratuity. However, I knew about it because I saw it online. Don't be fooled by the TikTok and other social media.

Made a reservation and it wasn’t accommodated due to poor planning on the restaurant part. Food is good but there’s a lot of work needed to run as a restaurant

I was shocked on the size of the restaurant. It’s very small no need to be on open table in my opinion. They had one table by the door that in my opinion shouldn’t be there not alone try to sit someone there! I never seen anyone check me in for my reservation that I made on open table. No one was writing down ppl as they came in to eat. So I had to tell them that I was next when a table for 2 became available. I am not sure if all of their previous staff walked out that week but the hostess was on her first day and our waiter was on his 3rd of working there. They happy hour drinks. I did order a 7.00 frozen margarita. It was delicious. I proceeded to order the BBQ shrimp that I been waiting all day to try out until I was told that the head was still on the shrimp. I passed on that. My guest order the gumbo only to be told that it was not available. It was 530pm , you open at 3pm what happened to the gumbo. I order the fried shrimp and oysters with a side of cabbage. They were delicious but not worth the price. I believe it was 35.00 for 3 shrimp/3 oysters. The cabbage was served like soup. They didn’t drain the juice off prior to serving it. It was delicious as well. We ordered wings as the appetizer they didn’t come until we had our entree. Too much breading on the wings not good at all. My guest ordered the lamb chops. She said that they were delicious. The entire time we are there we see the owner keekeeing with everyone in the restaurant except us. I guess we were NOT in the right age group for socializing. We brought to his attention as we left out!
