   My husband and I enjoyed his birthday dinner Saturday night at Dhamaal. The restaurant was buzzing with lively chatter and guests looked relaxed and happy. We were warmly greeted by the lovely hostess, Prapti, and promptly seated although we were 15 minutes late. The manager immediately set us up with sparkling water and opened the bottle of red wine we brought with us. We were waiting for our waiter to take our order, but one of the very alert owners came over to check in and took our order. He was friendly and we enjoyed our interaction with him. We told him we enjoy spicy/hot foods and he brought us the Murg (chicken) Tikka on the house, which was oh soooo succulent and spicy, just the way we like it...so very thoughtful of him. We ordered and enjoyed the succulent, perfectly cooked Boom Boom shrimp, juicy Afgani lamb chops, delicious spicy Dhaba Gosht (goat with bone) curry and naan, all of which arrived together. Next time, we'll be sure to ask request the dishes be coursed so that we can savor each individually. I understand why all were brought together, as they're all entrees. We concluded our meal with the Gulab Jamoon churros; delicious ice cream; churros could have been crispier. We were there for over 2 hours and didn't feel rushed. We are definitely looking forward to returning very soon ... and since we had an enjoyable experience, will bring friends; perhaps, for my upcoming birthday. Loved the whole experience!    Dhamaal is an absolute Dhamaal ! As soon as you enter you will be captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance. Welcomed with warmth.The decor is a perfect blend of traditional and modern, creating a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. Each dish is a burst of flavors, meticulously prepared and beautifully presented. The service is impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who make you feel right at home. Specially Dhruv.    The server could have been more attentive. Our water glasses should have been filled more regularly and we asked for ice and had to ask another server since ours forgot.

   A cascade of flowers and the mural paintings really grabs up when you walk in. The service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The kale fritters were so crunchy delicious that we were enchanted. The grilled shrimp were juicy and spicy. All the serving bowls, platters are handcrafted and unique. The meal was so well spiced and two entrees were enough for 3 people. The mango ice cream cubes were a revelation! Def worth a return visit!

   Ambience and live music by Singer/Chef Kunal was the highlight. Food was average and expensive. It is more expensive than good restaurants in NYC. Window seat is not heated well and was really hard to enjoy food. It was kind of freezing.

   This restaurant is. Very special. The menu items are very different and innovative from the more traditional Indian restaurants. The decor is also very special. One of the best meals that i have enjoyed. Will be returning in the future.

   Appetizers were good. Main courses were OK. A little pricey for Indian food. Churro was very good as a dessert.

    Attentive service, creative menu. We had the Channa Chat appetizer, Kokam Branzino and Delhi Butter Chicken - all delicious!
