   When we arrived for our 4:45pm reservation, we were met with a sign that said kitchen closed at 5pm and restaurant closed at 6pm for private party. These was our 1 year wedding anniversary, which I put in notes, and had this reservation on the books for over a week. I don’t understand how I couldn’t have been notified of the private party to either decide if the rushed experience was going to be ok or if I wanted to book somewhere else. We had tickets to a comedy show at the Paramount and by the time we arrived at The Derby and were seated, it was pushing too close to our showtime to go somewhere else. We received subpar service— mainly as servers were counting down to set up for the party and closing their stations. We barely had time to order before the 5pm cutoff for food and would’ve ordered again before HH ended but a server never came back until after. We didn’t get water until 20 mins in and had to ask. Overall we were extremely disappointed. No courtesy of a heads up for private party closure and no acknowledgement of our special day.

   We experienced the weened menu, which is somewhat limited... So I want to be fair here in saying that the food choices were slim. But, EVERYTHING was good. We're a 'car family', so it was really cool seeing them in the backdrop - But if you want to see them up close and personal, it's an additional $10 per person. Not worth it, in my opinion. There is a $5000 Subaru and Chevy Bolt in the mix of supercars. It's... 'eclectic'. Service was amazing - Our waiter (I'm forgetting his name right now - But it was SUPER unique!) was absolutely perfect in every way. This space was interesting, I gotta say. An active repair shop, detail shop, storage facility, cigar humidor, barbershop, restaurant, bar, and merchandise.... a lot is going on. I give 9/10 just in being overall interesting! I'll go back, FOR SURE - I *need* to try the carne breakfast tacos next!!

   Love the experience at Derby with the unique cars. Menu is okay, but would like more sharable bar foods.

   had a rookie server, obviously not trained enough to be left on his own to wait on tables yet. Don't know if they were short staffed and forced into having him go on his own, but they needed to train him better. As it was, the staff picked up the slack and we were taken care of in the end, they mad thing correct and promoted the missing pieces making for a very nice day.

   The Derby is a great place to grab lunch and a drink . The staff is awesome and quick. The bartender Kristy is very fast and thorough. Kristy not only made a great drink but made sure we had everything we needed and followed up later as well. It’s nice to get great services these days. I will definitely be coming back!

   Seated right away, food was fabulous, they allowed us to squeeze into our table with another couple guess without even flinching great service

    Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and he loved it. The food was great our server was nice and the gentleman handling the tour of the shop was very insightful. 100% recommend for any car enthusiast.
