   Terrible experience on a quiet Saturday. The restaurant was quiet and mostly empty when we arrived for lunch. Table of 5. The server took our order, but did not write anything down. If you can remember the order, great. If not, don’t flex. We ordered two drinks from the bar, a soup, a salad, and five entrees. The drinks arrived after a fair wait. Then the soup came a bit later along with one steak. Soup was cold and the salad was nowhere to be seen. When I paused the runner to ask about the salad and say we weren’t ready for the steaks, I got a shrug. Two more steaks, another entree, and an incorrect entree quickly followed. No explanation. No apology. The server returned and I told her about the mistake. No apology. Just an offer to bring the salad with the sides. I enjoy Del Frisco’s (both the Double Eagle Steakhouse and this Grille) very much. And have had good experiences at this location before. But this was a disaster. And no acknowledgment or apology. Overpriced and terrible experience. Last time I will visit. And I strongly encourage you not to go.

   We went for Sunday brunch. My mocktail (forget the name) had grapefruit juice that tasted fresh squeezed. It was very nice. I had it with the strawberry French toast that was also very good. It could have used more mascarpone in the filling, but it was still tasty. My friend had the cheese omelet and a mimosa. Note that she originally ordered the eggs benedict, but they were out of Canadian bacon (the waiter called it "ham"). That was unexpected. Strangely, the mimosa was not on the brunch cocktail menu, but they served it no problem and I was told it was a good one. The omelet was large and full of cheese. My sister's meal was not good, however. She had the branzino off the main menu (which was also available). She said the fish was good but everything with it was not good. It was topped with microgreens that had some kind of dressing that was very, very bitter. The pureed parsnips were not only not well pureed, they also included some cauliflower that was chunky. We wondered if these vegetables were left over from some dinner dish from the night before that they wanted to get rid of. It was supposedly served on a bed of beurre Blanc but it was more like some kind of sweet gel-like substance of a brownish color. Also, not too good. So, mixed bag here. I've been before and had a very nice meal so I wonder if management has changed or if we just hit it on an off day. Anyway, I'll go back but I doubt my sister will ever wan to.

   Our server Anthony was great. Very attentive despite the restaurant being busy. Noise level was OK in the beautiful open environment. Filet mignon was expertly prepared. One of the best I’ve had. Fantastic experience.

   I have never experienced an evening like this. It took 20 minutes to get a glass of wine while despite asking several times my ice tea was never brought and then I had to remind the waitress not to charge me for it. Two minutes after my salad arrived my entree arrived but my guests entree didn’t. I sent my entree back so that they arrived together. That took another twenty minutes at which time the same entree was redelivered to me. I got the attention of the manager and asked him to come to speck to me. He said he would be right over and he never came. DO BETTER
