    Everything was excellent. John the waiter was perfect and attentive but not overly so. Chris the Executive Manager came by twice to check in and had a helpful hint on a steak that needed a tad more heat to temp. How Del Frisco can be perfect during a huge New Year’s Eve crowd is remarkable - and why we come back several times a year for our special (and all) occasions.

    We were seated in what seemed to be an overflow room-not much ambiance and fairly noisy. Expected better for the price we paid!

    We had a lovely New Years Eve dinner. Service was a bit slow to start but got much better. Could do with a big rock in the old fashioned. Steaks were amazing. Great food. Will be back soon.

    Del Frisco's has long been one of our favorites for special occasions. This visit was another good experience, but not quite as good as in the past. In fairness, part of the difference may be attributable to my cutting my alcohol consumption to zero. In the past, I'd have a cocktail before dinner, a glass of cabernet or zinfandel with my steak, and coffee with a shot of kahlua after. For me, a good red wine with a great steak, in particular, has been a big part of dining at a restaurant like Del Frisco's. My filet mignon was perfectly prepared, and my wife's Chilean sea baas was excellent. The crab cake appetizer, which has usually been top-flight, was good, but seemed to have changed slightly, and to my mind, not in a good way. And I should have probably asked for the bourbon peppercorn sauce I ordered to accompany my filet "on the side," as only a small amount had been ladled on top. The music was a nice mix of vocal jazz, blues and R&B, mostly, and fit in well. And the service was attentive. We will probably go somewhere else for our next special occasion, but I'm sure we'll be back.
