Newly relaunched on 10/29/24 as "Heritage East," on the beautiful square in Downtown Tyler.

Modern East Texas cuisine by award winning (Cochon 555 "Prince of Pork," Texas Bucket List "Bite of the Season" for our Heritage Pork Chop) and Food Network Chopped featured Chef Lance McWhorter. Locally raised steaks, chops, chicken, wild game, seafood, handmade pastas, all served from an open kitchen that is right in the dining room.

Our speakeasy bar, The Plaid Rabbit, is open to the public, happy hours are Tues-Sat, 5-7. Check in with our hostess to access.

Patio seating is available for reservations, indoor replacement seating may not be available for reservations interrupted due to inclement weather. Reserve at your own risk. Due to the small size of our dining room, no high chairs or room for strollers is available.

Chef Lance’s new Heritage East is awesome. I loved Culture ETX and now I love his new place. It’s creative, embodies deep East Texas and the food is fabulous. The host staff and servers are the best, they are some of the reasons we keep coming back. Great food, great people!

Great place, but!!!!. We had a 7:00 PM reservation for 6. We showed up at 7:00 PM and our table had been given away and we had to wait 1 hr. for a table for 4. Wait staff (1) was way over-whelmed with tables and duties, so service was not good.

The new menu is incredible. We had 2 dishes, redfish and shrimp, both amazing. Really like the facelift to the interior and the addition of the paper menus. Our service with Kyle is always fantastic.

This place is always outstanding. Truly the best food in Tyler. It is creative and everything I have ever had was delicious. Order their fries if it doesn't come with your meal and you will be so happy.

Great venue, little cramped, bur seeing the kitchen crew in action gives the restaurant an energetic vibe. The pork chop and swordfish were both amazing, the service impeccable. The speakeasy accessed through the janitor’s closet is a cool after dinner hangout. Easy access to Liberty Hall for the concert afterwards. We’ll definitely be back.
