Chef & owner Brian Canipelli opened Cucina 24 in 2008 on Wall Street in the center of downtown Asheville, NC.

Our kitchen is focused on melding the traditions and philosophies of Italian cookery with ingredients found in the mountains of the American South.

We work closely with a number of area farms and our menus reflect produce that they bring to us.

We offer a $60per-person nightly family-style menu for dine in.

Currently, the menu at Cucina 24 is fixed, except for the main course, with respect to which one is given a choice between chicken and fish. If you like Italian cooking with a bit of an "upscale twist," then Cucina 24 is for you. There were a number of appetizers, and then the second course had 3 more dishes. The pasta course and the main course (mackerel for me) then followed. Dessert consisted of chocolate cake, cheese with a honeycomb and strawberries. You will not go hungry. (Did I mention the focaccia and grissini to start?) The price for all of that food was very reasonable in my opinion. Overall, the meal was excellent, memorable and approximately on par with other fine meals at Vivian, Vue 1913 and the Dining Room at the Biltmore Inn that I enjoyed on my visit to Asheville.

The prix fixe menu and wine pairing were fabulous. The beef agnolotti dish was paired with a Sardinian red and were amazing.

The fixed menu was absolutely wonderful: delicious and creative. It made a memorable meal for a special occasion. Truly exceptional and interesting food in a lovely space. We had even enough to enjoy for lunch the next day. (We’re local so easy to di).

We came to Cucina 24 without any notions about it as we’re from out of town. We’re on vacation and wanted a nice dinner after being on the road. Not disappointed! Lots of small plates well prepared so we didn’t leave stuffed.

C24 remains the most creative restaurant we know. How does Brian keep coming up with foods and preparations we never heard of ?!? The tasting menu format is simultaneously relaxing and exciting. Keep it up.

Very curtailed menu (still?) but the Chef's Daily Offering of 5 courses was excellent. The Tuna Crudo course was "only" good", but the other 4 courses were top-notch. Wine list excellent as well with detailed, knowledgable, all-Italian list. All in all an excellent experience and we will certainly return and recommend!
