Cousins Jimmy and Julian Kim welcome you to Cucciolo Osteria Durham! A sister restaurant to the original Cucciolo Osteria in Seoul, Korea, offering modern Italian cuisine with a twist.

We are located in the same building as the Amtrak train station, just opposite side, next to West End Wine Bar.

    We had reservations but as others have mentioned, it could be at the bar and it was. Didn't love that. I don't mind a table in the bar but sitting at the bar with another couple makes conversations impossible. Bartender was very pleasant and attentive. Now about the food.... v small portions. We got the TAJARIN ARRAGOSTA. Zero lobster taste. 3 shrimp. Would not recommend. Will not return. Better options for Italian food in the area.

    Outstanding pre fixe meal with perfect spice on the spicy dishes, and uniformly well-heated food for all courses (no cold or lukewarm dishes). More food than we could eat over the four courses. Attention to detail was notable.

    We dine out frequently in Durham but had not been to Cucciolo Osteria recently. Overall, the experience was a disappointment. We were seated at a table for four that appeared to have been squeezed in next to the back wall and the kitchen server window - lots of commotion, noise and very bright lights. We waited for over 10 minutes before being acknowledged by the wait staff and even then we had to ask. The bottle of wine we ordered did not arrive until we had finished our appetizers. We enjoyed the food (except for the raviola dish). We ate quickly and left. It was not a pleasant dining experience.
