The Restaurant
Our main restaurant is modern with a lantern light ceiling which allows in plenty of natural light to flood in. A great piece of real architectural design. The restaurant boast some wonderful bespoke ironwork along with a vintage industrial feel . This restaurant offers a modern ambiance an ideal place to catch up with family and friends and enjoy our mouthwatering local dishes.

The Inn
The Inn is full of old world charm with little hidden nucks for dining. This restaurant is full of character and is used at lunch times primarily, but in the evenings, it offers a cosy ambiance lit by candle light ideal for a more casual approach to dining.

The Inn also offers an afternoon tea which is simply divine. Served between 2pm-5pm by prior bookings only.

The Bar and Snug is a relaxed and super cosy space sticking with the old charm of the Inn which this part of the building offers. It has an impressive wood burning stove and is dog friendly.

    We visited for Sunday Lunch on 23rd February and not really the experience we expected. We had a drink, as our table wasn’t ready which was fine as we were slightly early. When our lunch arrived my Roast Beef was disappointing as the beef was not roasted but more Brisket which was tender but dry. We then wanted more drinks and as no staff asked us we had to go to the bar and then had to carry them back to the table, I would have thought table service would have been available. My daughter had the chicken strips which were dripping in oil. My wife had the Sweet & Sour chicken which was basically chicken goujons with a vegetable sweet & sour sauce. My son had Beef and Ale pie which I thought was a child’s portion and the beef was not chunks and maybe the left over beef from the roast. Overall disappointing?

    We visited Crooklands for a lunchtime meal after a walk along the canal. The service was again excellent at Crooklands. All our meals were freshly cooked and delicious. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. We have never had anything to complain about on our visits to Crooklands and we highly recommend it.

    After the soup, I chose the beef roast. A good choice as the food was fantastic. The portions were very generous - so much so, I failed to eat it all! ( I should have gone for the small roast beef and left some room for dessert) A varied menu with the expected options, plus some more unusual dishes available. The service was efficient without being intrusive or hurried. All in all, a most enjoyable evening in a cosy setting. Thanks to the friendly staff and, although I am not local, I'm sure it won't be long before I'm back.

    Food freshly cooked, reasonable selection in mains for vegan/vegetarian, light bites only four and very conventional. Ambience pleasant, staff courteous. Only 0% alcohol options well known brands no nod to local brewers for this option though offer full strength beers. A good place for family meals, and a week night treat.

    As always top quality food. service exceptional. great location. free parking Roast turkey fresh veg prefer not to have sweetcorn and mange tout on a roast but otherwise spot on.
