   Tonight we had an amazing experience at Criollo. If you haven’t been, you should go ! The restaurant is beautiful, beautifully designed , and well thought out. We had the Chef table tasting menu with beverages. Outstanding! Martin was our server and he was very professional and very knowledgeable . We thoroughly enjoyed our evening!

   Overpriced, too many ingredients to try and wow you. Super expensive and not entirely filling. I can say I’ve been there but wouldn’t go back. Just because it’s a Michelin star restaurant doesn’t always make it satisfying experience. This is one example where it was over the top with so many ingredients in every dish it was difficult to discern the flavors. The serving sizes were very small as well making the price of $150 ridiculous.

   Beautiful restaurant, incredible atmosphere. The host was very rude and dismissive to my request for a table in the courtyard which then sat empty the entire night while we stared at it from our bright table in a busy walkway. The appetizers were lovely but the main dish was disappointing - the tuna was very fishy and unpleasant. Desserts were delicious and beautifully presented. We were lucky for the tip that a tasting menu is sharable - it was more than enough food for the two of us and more affordable as well. It’s not the best but a gorgeous spot and worth a visit if you’re into interiors not on a budget!

   We had a wonderful experience at Criollo. Although we weren’t hungry enough for the tasting menu, the staff was very accommodating and let us order à la carte, which we really appreciated. The food was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared, with intricate flavors that showcased the best of Oaxacan cuisine. Every dish felt like a work of art. The service was warm and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The ambiance is lovely as well—elegant yet relaxed. Would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a refined yet approachable dining experience in Oaxaca! Thank Laura! Our server.

   Criollo is my favorite restaurant in Mexico and I continue to come back to Oaxaca just to eat there. The food is exceptional and the pairings are truly spectacular. The ambiance and music always make me feel at home. My newest discovery this time is hand lotion they offer in their gift shop. Thank you as always Criollo

   Of the six dishes we found about half truly innovative. the other half seemed either too big a portion or the ingredients dissonant.

    Some of the most creative and interesting food I have ever eaten. Beautiful surroundings, exceptional service. Magnificent evening. We are vegetarian and they were wonderful about giving us perfect dishes. Can’t recommend highly enough! Thank you!
