   Very busy on arrival had booked had to wait a few mins for a table . A few of the choices were not available. . Waiters all very friendly , waited a long time for our meals I think our order may of been missed . When the food came it was excellent sooo tasty , worth the wait

   Service was excellent and due to it being a rugby pub was very busy after an international game…this did not affect the service…food and drink was good only problem is that they had run out of a lot of dishes.

   I’d booked a table for two but arrived an hour or so earlier. It was interesting to see how many people needed to be turned away as they hadn’t booked. I sat at the bar for an hour or so and enjoyed the team’s interaction. Once we were seating and ate, the food was great. Thanks team.

   By 330 most of the roast options were gone, along with some of the dessert options. The ambiance/overhead lighting was subpar but the staff were nice and attentive.

Apologies about running out of a few options early, we were inundated with bookings as there was a local half marathon this weekend alongside the Rugby on Saturday and ran out of a few dishes earlier than expected.    The food is delicious and you will not be disappointed by the menu if you make the decision to spend your Sunday here. However the service was very slow, and lack of communication from certain staff members did leave us feeling as though we were a nuisance. Having spoken to another very pleasant and attentive waitress, she did confirm that it had been a very busy Sunday. Having had several stints in hospitality myself I know how relentless weekend service can be. That said, an overall good experience in a characterful and charming pub was marred by poor communication between the staff on service and a 30-minute wait to be able to order food.

As you mentioned it was an incredibly busy this Sunday and can only apologise that this negatively impacted your booking and your wait time, I can assure you this is far from the standard I expect from my team. We don't want any of our customers going away feeling as if they were a nuisance, it is in no way our intention and apologise that this was the case.    Really great service, we didn’t realise it was table service if we were eating at first given we’ve not been here before but I’m sure we’ll be back! Really great service, very tasty food and lovely location.

   Came here with a friend for lunch before heading to the theatre. We were seated quickly and as, I had mentioned it was my friends birthday on the online booking form, were given a drink on the house which was a nice touch. The staff were exceptionally friendly, especially our server, Kaiias, who came back every so often to check on us. There was a good choice of food and drinks and our meal was hot and delicious. It appears to be a very popular pub and I can see why. Would we return. Definitely!

    Lovely pub on Richmond Green serving a nice Sunday roast and lovely desert! The staff are super friendly and we got great service :-)
