   Lunchtime visit, pre-theatre. As expected, the restaurant was busy. Service was slow because of the latter, but there seemed to be a lack of waiting staff. Small portion for the cost. Even so, the food was enjoyable.

   Friendly and attentive staff. Excellent food. We were a group of 14 and all food was hot and delicious.

   We have been dining at Cote restaurant in Cardiff Bay for many years. The things we enjoy are * the generally attentive service and the friendliness of the staff * the quality of the food and its presentation * the value for money It’s a good family restaurant which is popular at peak times, so it can be noisy

   Pretty appalling really. How can you not cook a half decent steak. Not like you are giving it away, £30 fillet steaks were basically cold on arrival….back to the kitchen….back a few minutes later no different….back to the kitchen….new steak back….so quickly cooked, not rested, just bled on the plate. 100% guarantee never going back. £300 pre show meal, one course, shouldn’t have been hard. Absolutely rubbish.

    Lovely Christmas decorations outside, as we approached. Warmly greeted by front of house. Offered comfortable table, which was nicely set. We mentioned we were seeing a show at WMC and staff made sure all our food arrived promptly, but leaving plenty of time to not feel rushed and finish our wine. Overall, good food, excellent wine choice and friendly staff.
