We recently visited Coopers Hawk in Avon for a birthday celebration. The atmosphere was nice, and the staff, especially our waitress, were friendly and welcoming. The shrimp appetizer was delicious and a highlight of the meal. However, the main dishes (burger, prime rib dip sandwich, and pizza/salad combo) were just average, and unfortunately, the food arrived lukewarm. Service was slow despite the restaurant not being busy, which made the wait for appetizers and entrees feel longer than expected. One standout moment was when they gave the birthday guest two complimentary truffles to take home—a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. Since the restaurant only opened recently (mid/late November), I’m hopeful they’re working out the kinks. There’s definitely potential, and we’d be willing to give them another try .

MY RED WINE BRAISED SHORT RIBS WAS DELICIOUS, BUT MY HUSBAND'S BRAISED SHORT RIB RISOTTO WAS VERY STARCHY WITH A SPRINKLING OF RIB BEEF. MY DINNER HAD MORE THAN TRIPLE THE BEEF AND HIS WAS MOSTLY RISOTTO WITH A FEW MUSHROOMS. THE VALUE WAS CERTAINLY NOT WORTH THE PRICE. BECAUSE OF THIS WE DID NOT ORDER DESSERT AS PLANNED. WE WERE SERVED VERY FAST LIKE THE RISOTTO WAS SCOOPED FROM A POT AND JUST DROPPED ON HIS PLATE. AGAIN MY DINNER LOOKED AND TASTED DELICIOUS. HIS LOOKED LIKE A PLATE OF WHITE RISOTTO AND AS THE SAYING GOES "WHERE'S THE BEEF"?

Our first time at Cooper's Hawk in Avon and we were thrilled! The food was excellent — my lobster was sweet and succulent and my husband loved his grouper. The chocolate cake, which we shared for dessert, was the best restaurant cake I've ever had. We were so impressed that we joined the Cooper's Hawk Wine Club. We'll definitely be returning!

Our experience at Cooper’s Hawk was great for New Year’s Eve dinner with server Angela. We were greeted and seated quickly for our reservation. Angela was very attentive and friendly. She made our meal enjoyable. Highly recommend asking for her if you dine in. I had the Dana Parmesan chicken. Delicious! Others tried the lettuce wraps, the butternut squash ravioli and shrimp, and the gnocchi a la vodka. Everyone raved about the food. We had the Vin Noir and cooper hawks red. Both great wines. We ended with the best cheesecake. We left happy and full. Cooper’s Hawk is the place to go wine and dine. Very very good!

We were pretty excited to try this restaurant, overall it was pretty disappointing. We were seated about a half hour after our reservation. Waited another 15 minutes at least to be greeted at our table. Our server was very nice and sweet but it took another 30 to 40 minutes to get water. And then probably another 10 to 15 minutes to order our dinner. They were out of the dish that my husband wanted. No big deal. He picked something else. The flavor of the food was very good but my fish was overcooked. I didn't want to know how long it would take to send it back and get another piece so I just ate it. We ordered a dessert but they were also out of that dessert. Our dessert was comped by management so that was very nice. In general, I think it's a newer restaurant. It just needs time to work out the kinks. We won't be going there again though. It was just meh.
