   Excellent Oaxacan inspired cuisine and yummy cocktails. Fun ambiance and reasonable prices. I’ve eaten there several times and have always received excellent service.

   It was my first time there. The dinner occasion was for a birthday dinner. I noted that on the reservation section. I got nothing.

   Chef Jose is incredible, talented and a lovely person. It’s clear he was the inspiration for this restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The food was delicious and unique and the staff were all eager to assist and share recommendations. The drinks were also delicious!! Thank you Jose and team!! What a memorable and exciting evening!

   Service was great, server suggested the birria tacos and wow they were outstanding !! It was melt in your mouth braised beef definitely coming back

   Outstanding, creative, fresh, delicious food! Great service. This has become my favorite upscale Mexican restaurant in Encinitas. The margaritas are delicious. The food is expertly seasoned with delicious homemade sauces. My favorite dishes are the sea bass ceviche, table-side fresh made guacamole, & succulent lamb dish with thick, homemade corn cakes.

   This was our second time dining here and unfortunately our experience was the same as the first. The food is very good. My husband and I had 2 different moles and both were excellent but again the service was not good.It took a good 10 minutes for server to come take drink order at which time we placed food orders as well.Drinks took almost 15 minutes to come and then 3 of 4 entrees came right after but other 2 another 5-10 minutes. Embarrassing with guests. Our server was very nice and tried but restaurant seemed very understaffed for a Saturday night.

    We began with a generous and wonderful ceviche, then absolutely delicious plant-based choices: the Flor de Calabaza and the Tetelas. Really tasty sauces and satisfying dishes. With just these three, we were too stuffed for dessert! Although there's plenty for meat lovers, I would especially recommend this to any vegan, since gourmet Mexican vegan isn't the easiest to come by.
