The Coastal Kitchen Monterey is an idyllic setting to enjoy inspirational fine dining. The culinary efforts are on display in the show kitchen and the service team is poised to offer impassioned explanations.

Chef Michael Rotondo’s multi-coursed tasting menu focuses on sustainability and celebrates the bounty of the Monterey Bay and Central Coast. A wine pairing of thoughtfully curated wines selected by the Sommelier team is available to complement each captivating course.

Additionally, we are also offering our Champagne Brunch on Sundays for 10am to 2pm.

Dinner Menus: Multiple Course Tasting Menu starts at $145 per person (Tuesday to Saturday Evenings)
3 Course Prix Fixe Menu $85 ( Tuesday to Thursday evenings)
Champagne Brunch Prix Fixe Menu: $75 per person (Sundays from 10am to 2pm)
Reservation Cancellation Policy: 24 Hours Prior to Reservation Time
Late Cancellation Fee: $50 per guest cancelation.

                    The experience at Coastal Kitchen is special. Rachel is an amazing server and somm who lead us on a beautiful journey throughout the evening with the tasting menu. We included the wine pairing and the truffle pasta course addition. 10/10 no notes… it was exceptional. As for ambiance, doesn’t get much better and we got lucky to have virtually a private dining experience as there were only another 2-3 tables on a Thursday evening. Will be on our itinerary every time we visit Monterey in the future.

                    We came here for Sunday brunch to celebrate a birthday. From the first interaction at the hostess stand, we were warmly welcomed and celebrated for the occasion. The staff took exceptional care of us and the food was delicious. The pricing ($75 pp) was a bit steep for two courses and some sides (+ chamoagne), but the experience itself was wonderful. We had a gorgeous harbor view next to the window and the bincloculara provided were a fantastic touch. We saw lots of sea life and it was a very memorable meal and experience. Thank you to Rachel for the fantastic service.

                    The ambiance and the view are the main event here. The wine tour was worth the money - we discovered several new favorite wines that we never would have otherwise tried. The food did not always “wow” us, it was delicious but not life-altering-ly so. They offered a vegetarian tasting menu for me and the standard for my husband. The bread is very good.

                    Wonderful tasting MENU paired with the right wines by the Somm, whom came up with more reds, which we prefer. Perfect ambience with beautiful view of the Sea Otters. Very convenient since we were staying at the Monterey Plaza. We will definitely return.

                    Lovely atmosphere and lovely staff! Lobster Benedict, fruit plate were decent. Everything else was barely a step above cafeteria food. Hash browns were bad and amateur. Cooked oysters also pretty unimpressive…gloopy. Nice view, but wouldn’t return even if it was half the price.

                    We had a fixed price menu which was good but we spent more than we planned. But it was a delightful experience and staff were very attentive. We felt special and it was nice.

                    We had a wonderful time. Everyone from the reception folks through the table staff and sommelier were terrific. Great pairing with terrific food made for a great evening.
